Former Disney star Bella Thorne is set to make her directorial debut with the gay movie ‘Color Your Hurt.’
‘Color Your Hurt’ is the true story of a young gay man who struggles to live his life in the South, where religion plays a strong role in society.
The 26-year-old actress has started the casting process for the film which is based on her original screenplay and a short film she has made titled ‘Unsettled’ which is already in post-production.
Filming is set to start production in the Midwest and Italy in the spring of this year.
Thorne created ‘Unsettled’ in June last year which is around the debut of her short film ‘Paint Her Red’ at the Taormina Film Festival. The film was produced by Jen Gatien and Eddie Alcazar and was edited by Ron Dulin with additional editing from Alfonso Gonçalves.
