The movie “Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe” is finally coming to theaters!

Following its film debut at Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) last September 2022, “Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe” sold its rights to Blue Fox Entertainment for distribution in the US, according to Variety. “Aristotle and Dante” is based on a novel of the same title by Benjamin Alire Sáenz. Set in 1987 in El Paso, Texas, it depicts the story of two teenage Mexican Americans, Aristotle Mendoza (played by Max Pelayo) and Dante Quintana (played by Reese Gonzales), as they forge friendships, explore their sexualities, and understand themselves and their families through the realities of a rather harsh world.

SYNOPSIS: Aristotle is an angry teen with a brother in prison. Dante is a know-it-all who has an unusual way of looking at the world. When the two meet at the swimming pool, they seem to have nothing in common. But as the loners start spending time together, they discover that they share a special friendship—the kind that changes lives and lasts a lifetime. And it is through this friendship that Ari and Dante will learn the most important truths about themselves and the kind of people they want to…

The movie is scheduled to be released in theaters this summer.
