British soap star Alexander Lincoln who surprised the world with his sincere and personal portrayal of ‘Mark Newton’ in the gay rugby film ‘In from the Side’ fulfilled his promise for more forward and authentic queer storytelling and discourse in the new movie ‘On a Winter Night’.
Directed by Liam Calvert, Lincoln teamed up with another promising British actor Jack Brett Anderson in painting the story of two lost souls who cross paths in a profound quest for redemption.
Writer Diego Scerrati shared on the film’s crowdfunding video that ‘On a Winter Night’ will defy the cookie-cutter expectations of LGBTQ+ films that only revolve around sexuality and usually end in tragedy. Instead, the film wants to offer a story that can touch everyone’s hearts no matter their sex or gender.
