Following the Philippines’ Summer Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) release, ‘About Us But Not About Us’ is set to premiere next month!

‘About Us But Not About Us’ is a highly acclaimed movie that won international awards such as the Critics Picks Best Film in Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival 2022. It stars Romnick Sarmenta and Elijah Canlas (from “Gameboys” and “How To Die Young in Manila”) and is directed by the multi-awarded director Jun Robles Lana. And the movie was screened in the first-ever MMFF on April 8 to 18, 2023.

On May 15, Prime Video Philippines announced that the film will be available on the platform starting next month, June 22nd.

The movie depicts Eric, a literature professor at the English Department of the University of the Philippines, who meets up with his student, and rumored lover, Lancelot, months after the suicide of Marcus, a celebrated Filipino writer best known for his novels in English, and Eric’s longtime partner. As their conversation becomes more detailed and complicated, secrets and lies will be unearthed and the sinister nature of their identities will be revealed while they all wrestle with the truth.
