The cast of the Thai BL series ‘My School President’ recently had a two-day concert featuring both songs from the series as well as covers of other popular Thai songs.
The cast who performed in the concert consists of Fourth Nattawat Jirochtikul, Gemini Norawit Titichoenrak, Ford Allan Asawasuebsakul, Mark Pakin Kuna-anuvit, Satang Kittiphop Sereevichayasawat, Winny Thanawin Pholcharoenrat, Prom Theepakon Kwanboon, Captain Passatorn Koolkang, and Aun Napat Patcharachavalit. The concert celebrating the series featured both songs from the series as well as covers of other popular Thai songs such as Bilkin Putthipong Assaratanakul’s Mr. Everything and ซ้อมมีแฟน (Trial) by Kinkaworn x bamm. Since the songs from the series have been performed by the cast both in the studio and on the live stage, it’s no surprise that the cast has had a lot of time to refine and improve on their performances of these songs, but here are three live performances of songs from the series that particularly stood out as improvements from the performances from the series, in the order that they were performed in during the concerts.
1. ไหล่เธอ (You’ve Got Ma Back)
As the opening number of the concert as well as the series’ first opening song, the live performance of ไหล่เธอ (You’ve Got Ma Back) featured a new arrangement with a heavier emphasis on the drums as well as electric guitar. It also featured a new instrumental that used the melody of another of the series’ original songs, ก้อนหินกับดวงดาว (Rock & Star). This gave the song a more intense rock feel compared to the studio version’s light-hearted pop energy, making it perfect for opening the concert and getting the crowd excited.

2. เพลงรัก (Hook)
เพลงรัก (Hook) was originally a solo by Gemini’s character in My School president, Tinn. For My School President Prom Night, however, it was turned into a duet between Fourth and Gemini, highlighting the pair’s excellent vocal chemistry. In addition to this, the song began with a stripped-down acoustic verse mimicking the performance in My School President episode 9 before the duo switched to an energetic performance that more closely resembled the studio version, allowing for a mix of both versions of the song, giving fans the best of both worlds.
