It’s no secret that being an actor is already a challenging job. It is not an easy feat that can be taken on by just anyone. It requires blood, sweat, and tears to create magic on screen!
But actors in Thailand are on a different level. They often have degrees (even sometimes multiple) under their belt while some pursue challenging careers and even further academic studies amidst their already tight schedule.
In this list, we will be rounding up the BL actors with impressive degrees and careers!
Mix – Veterinarian (Chulalongkorn University)
Known as one of GMMTV’s household names, “Mix” Sahaphap Wongratch is a Faculty of Veterinary Science graduate from Chulalongkorn University. He had his breakout role in the Thai BL Series ‘A Tale of Thousand Stars’ as Tian alongside his co-star “Earth” Pirapat Watthanasetsiri. He was born and raised in the Lampang Province of Thailand and has since moved to Bangkok for his studies and blooming career in acting.
In an Instagram post, Mix shared a post of gratitude to those who supported him after finishing his extern duty as a veterinarian in training.

Jimmy – Dermatologist (Chiang Mai University)
Now we know how Jimmy’s face is so flawless! “Jimmy” Jitaraphol Potiwihok is an actor and a practicing dermatologist. He got his medical degree from the Faculty of Medicine at Chiang Mai University.
When he is not taking care of people, he is busy taking care of his on-screen baby “Sea” Tawinan Anukoolprasert. Jimmy is best known for his role in ‘Bad Buddy’, and his series with Sea in ‘Vice Versa’ and ‘Last Twilight’.
He is currently starring in GMMTV’s ‘Ploy’s Playbook’ available on Youtube!
New – Electrical Engineer and Businessman (Chulalongkorn University)
Talk about GMMTV’s Starkid, “New” Thitipoom Techaapaikhun not only has 1 but 2 impressive diplomas under his belt. After he got his degree in Electrical Engineering at Chulalongkorn University, he went on to obtain his Masters in Business Administration in the same school.
Aside from his impressive academic track record, New also has some pretty popular series to his name. He was part of ‘Sotus the Series’, ‘Waterboyy the Series’, and of course the ever-famous ‘Dark Blue Kiss’ with his love team and business partner “Tay” Tawan Vihokratana.
He also just recently starred in the Thai adaptation of ‘Cherry Magic’ where he reunited with Tay for the first time in almost 3 years.
