2. Stay By My Side (10 EPs)
“Stay By My Side”, formerly known as ‘Stand By My Side’, is one of the three BL line-ups from VIdol in partnership with 威網影音股份有限公司. The drama stars Hong Waji and Isaac Yang as Gu Buxia and Jiang Chi, respectively.
Bu Xia is brought up by his grandfather, who is a spiritual medium. After his grandfather’s funeral, he finds himself hearing voices murmur in his ears now and then. He thinks he’s suffering from hallucinations and is ready to seek medical treatment but is surprised to find that the voices in his ears, like a Dolby stereo, are the voices of ghosts! He is as dumbfounded as if he has just received a vaccination. Jiang Chi is Bu’s roommate and excels in both sports and academics. When Bu finds out that the more he gets in touch with Jiang-chi, the more he doesn’t hear any ghostly voice, he starts to find ways to approach Jiang. Is it because of Jiang’s charm? The more Jiang knows, the more confused he becomes.²
3. VIP Only (10 EPs)
“VIP Only” is the second BL from VIdol in partnership with 威網影音股份有限公司. The drama stars actors Stan Huang from Lin Pei Yu’s “Miracle” novel promotion and actor Chen Xuan as Gu Jung and Liu Li, respectively.
Gu Jing is a good chef who owns a creative and retro restaurant. He opens his restaurant anytime he wants. Gu finds that there is a boy who always gets the quietest seat, and that boy is Liu Li. Liu is a gay-themed novelist who rents a room upstairs from Gu’s restaurant. Gu starts to send Liu a bowl of spicy beef noodles. Gu has become the person that Liu confides in, the person who keeps him company during the breakup. Gradually, Liu realizes that his fantasies may be different from reality.³
4. You Are Mine (10 EPs)
“You Are Mine” is the third and last produced by VIdol in partnership with 威網影音股份有限公司. The drama stars Mao Qi Sheng and Xiao Hong as Xia Shang-zhou and Yao Shun-yu, respectively.
The staff in Xia’s company are known for their good looks and bodies, but there is a new employee, Yao Shun-yu, who is an exception to the rule. Yao is like a rabbit in the jungle who has signed his life away.His boss, Xia Shang-zhou, is always teasing kindhearted Yao. And Yao believes that if he works hard, he can have a better life. Even if his job is stressful and his boss is cranky, he can bear it. But having a blind date with the boss and sleeping with him, that’s truly a tough job!⁴
5. Pray In Love (8EPs)
“Pray in Love” is an upcoming BL Original Series from the same production as ‘Innocent The Series’, Soul’Chill Studio, and 夏花藝術影像工作室. The drama stars Huang Leo, and Cheng Nan-chung as Yang Qi-an and Yuan Shao-hu, respectively.
For revenge, Yang Qi-an pretends to agree to his biological father, Yang Qing-hai’s politically motivated arranged marriage, not expecting his father to be one step ahead of his plan. Following the shooting, Yang Qing-hai grows in popularity and is successfully elected mayor, resolving a political crisis. 6. First Note Of Love (12 EPs) | CASTING
“First Note Of Love” is an upcoming GagaOOLala Original produced by Portico Media and 杰德創意影音管理股份有限公司. The production is currently in-process of casting up-and-coming actors who will be playing the role of Neil and Hai and scheduled to start filming around August this year. And the drama is slated to be released in 2024.
One late night, Hai, a young fan of two street performers, happens to take the same bus with Neil. The lives of the two young men cross paths when the timid Hai musters the courage to pick up Neil’s plectrum and give it back to him. It isn’t until much later, however, that Hai learns the significance of the guitar pick, which was given to Neil by his deceased brother.
