Upon learning that Chen Yi was hurt, Ai Di returned to their hiding place right away. Due to his costume, none of their guys recognized him, but Chen Yi did. Because he hasn’t heard from him recently, he asks if he is working with Jhe Reui at the school. When Ai Di told him everything they did at school, Chen Yi became upset because he hadn’t told him that he was working with Jhe Reui. The two then got into another argument. Before Chen Yi can continue, he interrupts and asks about their job after Chen Yi asks him if he wants to return to school. He is shocked when Chen Yi presents him with a picture of Zang Teng and Jhe Reui together.
Zong Yi’s admission to medical school made Jhe Reui happy for the young guy. They came across two same-sex couples on their way home who would get married that day. That day marked the implementation of the Same-Sex Marriage Act. Zong Yi was moved to move in with his partner after realizing how much he loved him after witnessing that. After congratulating the married couple they witnessed, they kissed and ran away. They eventually made plans for their future, making that day a joyous one. However, their future also ended that day.
Zhang Teng’s murder of his father and his mother’s abandonment were both discovered by Chen Yi and Ai Di. Zhang Teng attempted to catch Jhe Reui and Zong Yi that evening, so they fled for their lives. He eventually caught them, but before he started beating them up, Jhe Reui called Chen Yi secretly to let him know they were in trouble. While his men were beating Zong Yi nonstop, Zhang Teng questioned him as to why he helped Chen Yi by making him the target. Jhe Reui asks him to stop hitting his boyfriend since he is an innocent person. Zhang Teng tried to stab him in the chest as he begged for their lives after the latter had beaten him severely.
Back in the past, the two knew each other because of their work. Jhe Reui approached him and took a picture of them using the latter’s phone as a memory. Zhang Teng couldn’t kill him, so he planned to kill Zong Yi instead. And when he tried to stab him, Jhe Reui hit him with a big stone in the head. He beats him up, but Zong Yi stops him. He continuously apologizes and says that he shouldn’t approach him. Chen Yi and Ai Di finally came, and they called for help. Three days after that incident, Zong Yi tries to see Jhe Reui, but the two stop him as he’s still not safe because Zhang Teng’s men are still haunting them. He cried so hard because he was so worried about his boyfriend.
