Guess who’s back in the Taiwan Boy’s Love (BL) scenes?

The latest Taiwanese BL drama, ‘印象•青春’, with a literal translation of ‘Impression of Youth’, revealed its cast members, including Mujin Hsu from ‘2020 Because of You’, the youthful heartthrob Jian Zhenting (Andrew Chein), the fashion and beauty expert Zhu Yumo (Wish Chu), and the rising star in advertisements, the Taiwanese-Thai mixed-blood internet celebrity, Wen Wei Deng (Will).

‘Impression of Youth’ meticulously selects its four main characters from the script. Producer Xin Zhiyu, known for ‘Because of You’, once again partners with Hsu Mujin, casting him in a teacher-student romance alongside the charming newcomer Andrew Chein. Andrew takes on his first leading role, described as a fresh slate, radiating youthful energy, and sharing excellent chemistry with Mujin, once known for his role in the drama.

As for the other couple, Wish transitioned from a boy band to acting, gaining popularity for his beauty tips on a fashion show. while Will, of Taiwanese-Thai descent, has garnered attention in the advertising world, starring in 20 commercials within a year. Director Hao Xinxiang, who will be in charge of directing, is impressed by their remarkable physique and plans to incorporate steamy bed scenes into the drama.

Da Teng Entertainment, the same production company behind “DNA Says Love You,” is working with Fengdu Pictures and Photon Media to produce the drama. This project marks Lin Wei Jie’s debut as a screenwriter, known for his role as Li Ching Liung in Da Teng Entertainment’s BL drama, ‘DNA Says Love You, available to stream on GagaOOLala.
