The series effectively introduced the supernatural theme, which serves as the starting point for the development of the relationship between Jiang Chi and Bu Xia. Jiang Chi’s calm and collected nature perfectly counters Bu Xia’s quirkiness, resulting in numerous delightfully surprising scenes. Since their initial rivalry was short-lived, the series quickly presented many adorable moments between the two characters.
