Director Ray Jiang’s Upcoming Taiwanese BL to Look Forward to in 2024-2025

Ray Jiang is a 43-year-old Taiwanese director and screenwriter who works in both Taiwan and China and is best known for his works in the BL dramas ‘No. 1 For You’ and ‘Fighting Mr. 2nd’. He also directed ‘My Tooth Your Love’, which is available to stream on GagaOOLala, and Priest’s drama adaptation, ‘Unknown’.

Without further ado, here are the two upcoming BL projects of Ray Jiang for this year and 2025, listed on Taiwan Pavilion’s website:

Wishing Upon the Shooting Star (向流星許願的我們) | 2024

SYNOPSIS: Amidst the meteor shower on a small island, a magical romance unfolds as they rediscover themselves and heal each other.

This project is under Yoiisz International Media, from the same production company as ‘My Tooth, Your Love’, ‘Unknown’, and WBL Boy’s Vacation, which consists of 12 episodes with a 30-minute duration.

The Young Gangster (少年仔) | 8 Episodes – 2025

SYNOPSIS: Orphan Xu Chun Mao hides his identity and sneaks into Taiwan’s underworld to investigate the cause of his father’s death. However, he falls in love with the gangster A-ang and eventually lets go of hate for devotion. Xu Chun Mao comes from a mafia family, but he chooses to conceal his background and return to the underworld to avenge the death of his parents.

The eight-episode drama with a 45-minute runtime per episode is under Select Entertainment, from the same production company as GagaOOLala Original ‘Best Sisters Forever’, and ‘Moneyboys’.
