‘The New Employee: The Movie’ Premieres on August 3!

Studio Rainbow Factory has finally revealed the ‘The New Employee: The Movie’ release date!

Following ‘The New Employee: The Movie’ screening at the 24th Jeonju International Film Festival, the movie is finally hitting the big screen through a local cinema in South Korea next month. It consists of 115 minutes total run-time and the re-edited version of the seven-episode web drama released last December. The movie features promising actors, Moon Ji Yong and Kwon Hyuk, and is directed by Kim Jhi Kwang Soo.

Today (July 5), the production unveiled two stunning movie posters along with its release date, August 3rd at an independent film theater.

Synopsis: In his late twenties, Seung Hyun (Moon Ji Yong) has yet to settle into what most would consider an “adult” life. Something of a late bloomer, Seung Hyun has had about as much experience in his professional career as he has in his personal life. Which is to say, he hasn’t had much experience in either. But everything changes when he finally manages to land the internship of his dreams. Excited to be interning at such a successful advertising company, Seung Hyun’s enthusiasm is curbed almost immediately when he runs into an incredibly handsome, yet unbelievably cold man on his first day of work. Thrown off by his encounter with this frigid adonis, Seung Hyun’s first day is a memorable one, to be sure; but becomes even more so when he realizes the man he ran into was none other than his boss, Kim Jong Chan (Kwon Hyuk). Unable to shake the feelings that stir inside him as he recalls this first encounter, Seung Hyun tries his best to avoid making the same mistake. But it seems no matter how hard he tries, he can’t escape Jong Chan’s presence. As if drawn together by some unseen force, will either of these men be able to avoid the fate that seems determined to bring them together?

As of this writing, no further information has been released regarding its international release. Stay tuned to BLtai for more updates!
