‘The Eighth Sense’ lead actors Lim Ji Sub and Oh Jun Taek explain why the drama/series is important to them and how Oh Jun Taek chose which song to play in the ending part of the show.
On April 1st, ‘The Eighth Sense’ movie version held a press conference to celebrate the release of its movie version. The series was yet to be released at that time, but the lead actors talked about why they chose to star in the now fan-favorite series.
Rookie actor Oh Jun Taek who plays the role of freshman ‘Ji Hyun’ says, “I think ‘The Eighth Sense’ chose me. (The series) is like a turning point in my life in becoming an actor, and it was then that I started to believe in ‘The Eighth Sense’.”
Meanwhile, the more senior actor Lim Ji Sub who plays ‘Jaewon’ explains his fondness for his character, saying, “Jaewon is someone who has experienced a lot of pain and (unfortunate) circumstances so I really hope he will be able to succeed and become happy.”
One of the directors, Baek In Woo, also revealed that Oh Jun Taek was the one who chose the ending song, which is a song by Conan Gray. Baek says, “The last lyrics of the song are really nice and it’s like hoping for a good ending for all of the characters, that’s also why we agreed to go with the song.”
