‘Why R U? Korea’ is coming this August!
The upcoming Korean drama ‘Why R U?’, is known as the South Korean remake of the popular Thai drama ‘Why R U?’ which garnered anticipation from local and international fans prior to its release. In addition, original actors from the Thai adaptation, Max Kornthas and Nat Natasitt, are confirmed to have guest appearances in the show. And today (July 31st), Idol Romance unveiled its official poster and release date!
‘Why R U’ is a BL novel written by the younger sister of the main character, Lee Won (played by Lee Jung Min), as a romance-comedy drama set on a campus that revolves around four college students. Lee Ji Oh (played by Dy Lee Ye Hwan) and Jung Lee Won were the so-called “hate” couple, who accidentally bump into each other in everything they do, and their seniors, Koo Yu Gyeom (played by Park Chang Hoon) and Woo Seon Woo (Lee Sang-min), who are drawn to each other as the two rejected each other. The two couples will show the opposite charms that everyone should look forward to in the series.
‘Why R U? Korea’ consists of eight episodes and is set to premiere on August 24 and will air two episodes every Thursday at noon KST on local streaming platforms, Heavenly and Naver Series On. For an international release, stay tuned to BLtai for more updates!
On the other hand, the production, Idol Romance, is known for their Korean BL ‘Roommates of Poongduck 304’, which starred K-Pop idol group ZEROBASEONE member Kim Ji Woong and actor-singer Yoon Seobin, which ranked #1 upon its release on local platform WATCHA and is available to stream on the LGBTQ+ BL platform, GagaOOLala.
