Meet The Characters in ‘Love for Love’s Sake’: An Upcoming Fantasy-Teen Romance Korean BL

You read it right—it’s a Boys’ Love (BL) drama!

‘Love for Love’s Sake’, formerly known as ‘Love Supremacy Zone’, was previously reported as a “Bromance“, where BL fans raised their eyebrows since the original webtoon itself is a BL. The drama is now confirmed as a BL, as its genre is clearly stated on KT Alpha’s website, and now gays are cheering for the good news!

Following our August 28th article, N News confirms today that Cha Joo Wan, Oh Min Su, and ‘Boys Planet’ participant Cha Woong Ki are joining Lee Tae Vin in the drama. Alongside the characters that they are portraying:

Lee Tae Vin plays Tae Myung Ha, a 19-year-old who was given a mission to make Cha Yeo Woon happy.
Cha Joo Wan, who plays Cha Yeo Woon, is a popular and #1 athlete in track and field with a good physique who has suffered poverty in his life.
Oh Min Su plays Cheon Sang Won, a son from a wealthy family who causes drama and tension between Myung Ha and Yeo Woon.
Cha Woong Ki plays Ahn Kyung Hoon, an introverted and quiet student who becomes Myung Ha’s helper.

The drama tells the story of a 29-year-old man named Tae Myung Ha, who got trapped in a 19-year-old high schooler’s body within a game called ‘Love for Love’s Sake’ which is based on his senior’s novel that he was reading. A translucent window appears in front of him and he receives a mission to make the main character, Cha Yeo Woon, happy. Cha Yeon Woon is his favorite character in the novel where he can relate the most. How can Myung Ha make Cha Yeo Woon happy? Will the game be unfolding entirely differently from the novel? How will it end?
