‘Checkmate’ is Soundberry’s next audio drama project to be released in June!
Soundberry, an audio content production company previously released the audio drama ‘How to Be a Family’ by Moju. This time, the manhwa ‘Checkmate’ by Tan is Soundberry’s second audio drama project. The manhwa was first released in 2020 and was later serialized in English by Lezhin US and was completed in 2023 with 113 chapters. The manhwa captured readers with its gripping, tense, and well-written plot.
The teaser features Lee Soohyun’s monologue expressing his envy and resentment toward Jung Eunsung and his feelings of being overshadowed by him. Despite his efforts to match Eunsung’s achievements, he continued to feel inferior and became obsessed with surpassing him. This obsession turns into a desire for revenge, hoping to see his downfall.
