Confusion and Jealousy Persist in ‘Jun & Jun’ EP 5

As they haven’t both declared their feelings to one another, it appears that ‘Jun and Jun‘s’ confusion and jealousy about what is happening to them will persist. Let’s see if this confusion and jealousy will be the reason for them to distance themselves from each other.

Episode 5. Someone Who Keeps Distance.

Simeon initially met Lee Jun through Hyun Jae, who also introduced him to the other members of their new idol group. At first glance, he thought he was cute. On that day, they would work on a photo shoot. They are doing a shoot for the first time, so Hyun Jae asks him to look after them and help them out. He initially made fun of Hyun Jae before agreeing. The photographer became irate with Lee Jun throughout the shoot because of the images’ expressionless faces. Simeon advised him to relax and follow his lead, which was helpful. He thanked him, and the pictures of them came out great.

After the shoot, Simeon thanked the photographer for his hard work, and the latter praised him as well. On the other hand, Lee Jun told Hyun Jae that he would go to their dorm alone to take some rest. Hyun Jae says that he will buy medicine for him, but the latter refuses and says that he can take care of himself. Simeon heard everything, so he told Hyun Jae that he had other plans that night and didn’t need to drive him home. He bids goodbye to everyone, and Lee Jun thanks him for helping him earlier. He told him that next time he didn’t need to force himself to smile. Lee Jun thanked him before he left. Hyun Jae told him that he thinks Simeon likes him, but he thinks he got scolded, and the latter says he’s sure that he likes him.

Back in the present, the other interns are talking about how Lee Jun got a job at their company. One of them says that he heard that Simeon apparently hates it when people suck up to him. But seeing Lee Jun getting along with him, he might be more skilled than he thinks. He might appear kind of soft, but he always plays it by the book. The other intern says that he feels uncomfortable sometimes because he thinks that he is hiding something and that he has something going on with Hyun Jae and Choi Jun.

They were unaware that Hyun Jae had overheard their talk. So as soon as he entered the pantry, he shifted the topic of conversation. On the other side, Lee Jun asks Simeon whether he’s free that day. The latter queries whether he is finally asking him for a date. He claims that he did not previously avoid him on purpose. Simeon informed him that he was only passing by for a short period of time that day, hoping to at least see his face. Simeon said that’s the line he uses every time he asks him to go out when the man asked him if he could see him any time soon. He informed him that the person who likes the other more loses. In addition to warning him not to neglect him once again, he promised to text him his schedule. When Lee Jun grins at him in that way, he claims that it makes his heart flutter. He pinched his face before saying goodbye.

His senior at work told Lee Jun that Simeon is no longer his acquaintance but a savior to all of them. Confused, he told his seniors that they needed to talk more to Simeon for him to work with them. After their meeting, Choi Jun asks him if he has anything else to say to him, and he gets disappointed when the latter says none. His senior gave him another piece of paperwork, and Choi Jun asked him to meet him at his office. As soon as he entered his office, he told him that he would stay the night there with him. Confused, he looked at the chart and realized that he had so much work to do. But little did he know that everything was planned by Choi Jun.

Choi Jun still got jealous of how Hyun Jae and Simeon could easily talk to Lee Jun because it was still hard for him to even talk to him properly even though they worked in the same office. So he made him work late that night so he could spend more time with him. Lee Jun can’t help but stare at him while working together. He praised his handsomeness, even with his eyeglasses. He told him that he’s still not used to seeing him like that, and Choi Jun says that it seems like he really likes how he used to be, and he doesn’t even know him well. Lee Jun got embarrassed and told him that he didn’t know anything about his past either.

After hearing that, Choi Jun can’t help but ask him how he met Simeon. Lee Jun asked him back how he became a director at such a young age. He gave him a sarcastic answer that made the latter more confused. Lee Jun confessed to him that he met Simeon at his previous job and that he used to be an idol. Choi Jun laughs, and he says he’s offended, and it seems like he’s not interested in him, but he assures him that’s not true, and he tells him that he’s special to him. Lee Jun’s cheeks blushed after hearing what he said, and he told him he made his heart flutter. But Choi Jun nervously admits to him that he also makes his heart flutter.

Before they continue what they’re saying, Young surprisingly appears with a snack in his hand. Meanwhile, Hyun Jae was still in the office when he received a message saying that he was childish for hiding him. Choi Jun and Lee Jun ate the chicken brought by Young. Lee Jun asks her how she got in, and he says that her father is the director of their company and her mother is the CEO of a well-known corporation. He was shocked and told her that she was born with a silver spoon. Young made a lame joke again; that’s why Choi Jun stopped her. She also told him that Jun pretended to be a bear the first time they met. A bear that says yes to anyone’s demands. Lee Jun felt jealous because they knew each other a lot. The two noticed it, so Choi Jun asked her to give him the biggest piece of chicken.

Young whispers to him that Lee Jun is so cute, so how did he stand not seeing him for a long time? He just laughed at what she said, but the latter whispered again, saying that he was smiling while not saying anything, as if he had fallen in love. He looked at Choi Jun while saying he might have. He whispered something to Young, and Lee Jun wonders if he also said that to other people. A few moments later, Lee Jun was almost done with his work when Choi Jun said he was finally done. He told him that he could go home first and that he had more work to do. But the latter says he will wait for him. He asked him what he would do while waiting, and he said that he would do a Q&A session.

Lee Jun asks first. He asked him when he came back from the US. The latter says that he came back two years ago. He was surprised because he became a director in such a short period of time. But the latter says that he worked at the US branch and was sent back to Korea two years ago. He was impressed with him, and it was like Young was his fiancee when he was a kid. Choi Jun was shocked when he heard that, and he said that he went to the US because of his mother. He asked him again if she was really his fiancee, and when he said yes, Lee Jun felt sad and jealous but still smiled at him so he wouldn’t notice. Choi Jun tried to explain, but Lee Jun hurriedly left.

While walking home, Lee Jun was surprised when Hyun Jae approached him. He asks him if he should change his name because they’re both Juns, but they’re so different. He was ashamed that he never shot a commercial when he was an idol while Choi Jun became a director, even though he was just the same age as him. Hyun Jae told him that just because someone is impressive doesn’t mean he’s not good enough. But still, he was jealous of Choi Jun having everything in this world. But Hyun Jae says that you might be able to quantify how lovely someone is by the number of people who love that person. Lee Jun laughs at how romantic his friend is.

They continued their conversation while walking. Lee Jun told him that it’s impossible to know the people who love you because many people are in unrequited love. Hyun Jae agreed, and he looked at him with sadness in his eyes. At home, Lee Jun was looking at Choi Jun’s shirt while saying it’s not his fault that he has a finacée and he struggles to forget his scent. He receives a call from Simeon, telling him he will drop by their office the next day. He asks him if he can be a model for their new project, and the latter says that’s the reason why he is going to see him anyway. But in return, he needed to have lunch with him tomorrow, and he happily agreed. A moment later, his doorbell rang, and he was shocked when he noticed that it was Choi Jun.

When he opened the door, Choi Jun entered his home immediately. When he was asked why he came, he said that he was picking up his shirt. When he gave him back the shirt, he bid him goodbye, but the latter got disappointed because it seemed he wanted him to go away. And finally, Choi Jun asked Lee Jun to date him. He was shocked by what he said, so he pushed him away and told him that he wanted to keep his distance from him from now on. He gave him his shirt and closed the door. Choi Jun felt confused because he thought he had been rejected.

Hyun Jae was waiting for Simeon so he could drive him home. He was angry at him because he was quitting without his knowledge, and he felt alone. Hyun Jae says that he doesn’t need him anymore because he secured a spot. Simeon asks him if Lee Jun means so much to him, but he doesn’t answer; instead, he just opens the car for him.

Choi Jun finally asks Lee Jun to date him, but it seems there’s confusion for Lee Jun because he admitted to him that Young is his fiancée. And what is the backstory of Hyun Jae and Simeon? Let’s find out in the last few episodes of ‘Jun & Jun’.
