Actor and K-Pop Boy Group B1A4 member GongChan talks about how he wants to return for ‘Unintentional Love Story’ and more!
In a recent interview, GongChan was asked about the possibility of the drama’s second season, to which he answered, “Although nothing has been decided nor confirmed, there’s a lot of plot to unpack (on the story). The original drama has a lot of chapters that are too short for a 10-episode drama to convey all. I think we will be able to see and show more about the story if we get the opportunity to get a season 2.”
And when he was asked if he is interested to come out on the second season, GongChan promptly responded, “I have to come out of it, of course. I had a lot of fun filming and working with fellow actors and the crew, and we created a really nice working atmosphere together. I think it would be fun as well to do season 2 together.”
Speaking of working with his co-actors, he also mentioned his on-screen partner, Cha Seo Won, and had nothing but praise about him, saying, “(Cha Seo Won) really took care of me from the first time we met. He’s a really soft, witty, and funny hyung (older brother)… Even during rest time, we hung out together and he does so many old-timer jokes and I do let him get away with it. We joke a lot with each other.”
They became really close that they even had nicknames for each other. “During filming, he made a nickname for me and started calling me ‘Chani Chani’, so I also started calling him ‘Wonnie Wonnie’. Actually, Seo Won started using that nickname the first time we met, that’s why I started using a nickname for him, too. We also did the same for our other co-actors: Taemin is ‘Minnie Minnie’ and Do Woo is ‘Woonie Woonie’.”
Additionally, GongChan was also asked if there is a genre or character that he wants to try in the future. He bluntly said, “I want to be ‘WonYoung’ from Unintentional Love Story Season 2′” and added, “I just can’t seem to break away from (WonYoung) yet. I don’t usually watch the dramas I am in because I get shy over it, but truthfully, I think I’ve watched ‘Unintentional Love Story’ about ten times already.”
