A Tipsy Romance Begins in ‘All The Liquors’ EPs 1-4

How will alcohol work in Jiyu and Kihoon’s love story in ‘All The Liquors‘?

All The Liquors‘ is an eight-episode Korean BL web drama starring Won Do Hyun as Park Ki Hoon and Kim Joon Hyung as Han Ji Hyu. It depicts the story of Han Ji Hyu who works at a company that sells alcohol as a member of the marketing department. On the other hand, Park Ki Hoon is a skilled and seductive chef in a renowned restaurant. When Ji Hyu is instructed to get in touch with Ki Hoon’s restaurant in order to explore a prospective partnership, he encounters a few obstacles including Ki Hoon’s outright refusal to serve any alcoholic beverages in his establishment. Ji Hyu though is not prepared to give up just yet. What will he do to the chef to relent?

Episode 1. 

At the start of the first episode, we were introduced to Ji Hyu eating at a fish restaurant on Christmas Eve. While waiting for his boyfriend, he was approached by people giving him a free hangover drink. His boyfriend came in and before their favorite dish was served, his boyfriend dumped him. Meanwhile, Ki Hoon’s restaurant is full of women who admire not just his cooking but also his handsome face. But Ki Hoon is a serious type of chef and has his strict rule, “No alcohol” is allowed in his restaurant.

Ji Hyu comes back to the fish restaurant to drink with his friend. His friend complains about his drinking and he just uses his broken heart to drink. But the latter says he deserves drinking because he was dumped on Christmas day. After drinking, drunk Ji Hyu felt hungry and while walking on the street, he found Ki Hoon’s restaurant. Reeks of alcohol, Ji Hyu enters Ki Hoon restaurant and looks for tteokbokki. Ki Hoon tries to send him away but when he opens the door, his assistant suddenly comes in resulting in Ji Hyu bumping into him.

Ji Hyu passed out in the restaurant and when he woke up, he saw Ki Hoon and his assistant eating. He decides to leave when Ki Hoon notices that he’s hungry so the latter offers him food. Ji Hyu asks if the restaurant has soju which makes Ki Hoon upset and sends him away. The next day, two stubborn customers came to the restaurant and brought wine. His assistant can’t stop the two so Ki Hoon talks to them. Ki Hoon sends them away because of stubbornness but the customer threatens him.

Even his assistant tried to persuade him to sell alcohol at his shop but he still refused. Later that night his assistant found a negative post on social media about him and his restaurant.

 

Episode 2.

Ji Hyu woke up late and slept at the office. His boss noticed all his Hangover cure drinks on his table. His worried boss advised him to drink moderately so his work won’t be affected. At the meeting, their client rejected the offer because of family affairs. So his boss told him that he needs to find another client in a week or else, he needs to find another job. A coworker handed the marketing team some booze samples and he brought home some.

That night, he passed Ki Hoon’s restaurant and noticed that there were no customers lined up. Ki Hoon suddenly opened the door made he bumped into the floor and ruined the bag of his booze. Thinking that he was heartless for not helping him, Ki Hoon came back outside and handed him a bag. At home, Ji Hyu and his broken-hearted friend drink the sample booze he brought from the office. His friend brought some noodles and it was delicious. He showed him the photo of the restaurant and there, he saw Ki Hoon’s face.

At the meeting in the office, Ji Hyu’s team decided to team up with Ki Hoon and his restaurant, but when he told his chief that he doesn’t sell liquor in his shop, they knew they had a problem. But their boss just gave them a week to persuade him. Ji Hyu came to the latter’s restaurant. Ki Hoon still serves him food even though it’s their break time. Ji Hyu introduce himself and their plans of collaborating with Ki Hoon’s restaurant but the latter strongly refused. Ki Hoon’s assistant also tried to persuade him to do the collaboration to boost their sales. But the introverted chef still declined. At the end of the episode, Ki Hoon’s assistant got an accident in the kitchen resulting in hurting his arm.

Episode 3.

Because of the accident, Ki Hoon’s assistant can’t help him in the restaurant for a while. Ji Hyu and his Chief came to the restaurant but it was closed. Ji Hyu went to his go-to drinking place and unexpectedly saw Ki Hoon there. He overheard Ki Hoon and his assistant’s conversation. He talks to Ki Hoon and told him that he knew that his restaurant is understaffed. The next day, Ji Hyu came back to the restaurant to persuade the chef again. But still, he refused. A moment after, a group of people came in and Ki Hoon got a problem because he is short-staffed. But Ji Hyu offered help.

Ji Hyu finishes delivering orders and came back to the restaurant. Ki Hoon already serves the oldies order but they are asking for alcohol. He told them that they don’t sell alcohol. But Ji Hyu offered them the sample booze he brought from their office for free. The customers enjoyed the meal and the booze. After they left, Ki Hoon thanked Ji Hyu for all the help. And as a sign of gratitude, he decided to agree with Ji Hyu’s offer. Ji Hyu also told him that he will help in the restaurant on weekends.

After his shift at the restaurant, Ji Hyu went to a tteokbokki shop. He called his friend to come over but the latter is suffering from an upset stomach. Later on, Ji Hyu sees Ki Hoon standing in front of him at the restaurant and he slipped on the floor because of shock. At the end of the episode, the two were cleaning the kitchen when Ki Hoon gave Ji Hyu a drink, and the two smiled at each other.

 

Episode 4.

The two had a meal at the tteokbokki restaurant later that night. After eating, they had ice cream at the park. And there, Ki Hoon said to Ji Hyu that he will sign the contract. The next day, Ki Hoon went to their office for a contract signing. Ji Hyu also gave him a tour of where he will work. Knowing that he can’t do it alone, he requested Ji Hyu to be his assistant. In the office kitchen, Ji Hyu accidentally stepped on the clams and slipped on the floor. The two became wet and Ki Hoon helped the latter to get up. Too close to each other, Ji Hyu said that they look like a scene in the drama and Ki Hoon slowly touches his hair.

The two work together the following days. They started to become comfortable with each other because of work. While having ice cream, Ji Hyu told him that he should try to taste So Ju but there was no rush. And suddenly, Ki Hoon says that he wanted it that night. Ki Hoon made an outdoor setup that amazed Ji Hyu. Ji Hyu noticed that he is a bit tense so he asks if that is his first time trying alcohol but the latter says no. Ji Hyu told him that they were just doing it for work.

Ji Hyu gave him the first glass and after taking his first shot, Ki Hoon’s face became red and a moment later, the chef passed out. At first, Ji Hyu thinks that he was joking but later realised that he really got drunk with one glass of booze.
