A Campus Romance Begins in ‘Love Class’ EPs 1-3

In preparation for the second season of ‘Love Class‘, let’s delve into the first season, which revolves around finding the meaning of family and community while experiencing first love.

‘Love Class’ is a six-episode web drama produced by Studio Wabi that stars Kim Tae Hwan and Han Hyu Jin. It depicts the romance between Ji Woo and Ro A that began in their “Marriage and Love Life” class. Let’s take a trip down memory lane to where it all began, though, before we binge-watch its second installment.

Episode 1.

Ji Woo is in his class when the first episode begins, and the topic of the lesson is marriage and families. He is drawn to Bae Yoo Na, a fellow student. One girl student inquires about having a same-sex partner when the professor asks them to write the name of the student they wish to pair with. Immediately, Ji Woo objects. When Yoo Na decided to pair up with the female after their disagreement, the latter ultimately came out on top. After that, Lee Ro A joined him in the chair and became his partner.

When Ro A was following Yoo Na’s social media page, he suddenly remembered their meeting when the latter used sarcasm toward their seniors. Ji Woo then receives a supportive text from Ro A back at his apartment. Yoo Na admits to her teacher at school that she doesn’t feel at ease being matched with a man. Ro A wants to assist him with an assignment, but because the latter is seated too close, Ji Woo finds it uncomfortable to gaze at his face. He explained to him that he wanted to change the subject but had nowhere to go when he questioned him about why he didn’t respond to his text messages. When Ro A’s friend asked him to celebrate his comeback, he replied that he had a date with his junior.

Have a date that is less than ₩10,000 for their first task. Their getting to know one another is the goal of the assignment. When a drink with two straws was delivered, Ji Woo was confused, but Ro A clarified that it was a couple’s set drink. He felt strange taking two sips at once. Ji Woo notices that the latter is looking at him as he is eating. He replies that he is so cute when he asks why. For their task, Ro A also shot a photo of them.

The two celebrated their first date by playing some games at an arcade after dining. Ji Woo revealed to him that it was his first time having fun with someone during their talk later that night. Ro A took him to a park and purchased him a hot chocolate beverage from an antique coffee machine to use up all the money they had. Ro A can’t help but stroke his hair, which prompts the latter to inquire about his preference for guys. In the meantime, Yoo Na trips and falls out of fright in a shadowy alley. Ro A sensed something behind them, and they turned to see Yoo Na on her knees, asking for help.

Episode 2.

Back in the past six months, Yoo Na was saved from getting intoxicated by Ji Woo, who consumed the booze during their college dinner. To ensure Yoo Na’s safety, Ji Woo walks her home in the present. Yoo Na says that he fears men when he asks her why she sent Ro A away. She explained to Ji Woo how her stalker experience led to her developing a fear of men. She, however, assured him that she was friends with him and that they got along well. RoA texted him when he got home, but he didn’t respond.

The following morning, Ji Woo saw Yoo Na with her friends at school. Hye-Na admits to their professor that she likes him. Ji Woo gave Yoon Na a handkerchief when she spilled her drink, and then he ran away. He told Ro A the story of Yoo Na, and the latter asked whether Yoo Na was not afraid of him because he was a man. He responded that it was okay with her and that they are friends, so Ro A asked him why he hadn’t responded to his texts. Ro A requested that he report the incident to the police since he was concerned for his safety, but the man refused. In order for him to continue guarding his friend, Ji Woo asks him if he likes her.

Ro A’s housemate, Namjun, massaged him at home after noticing his sore wrist. When he asks what happened, he simply replies, “It’s nothing.” Yoo Na informed Hye Na of her relationship with their professor and her stalker. Ji Woo once again takes Yoo Na home after class. His lack of communication with RoA caused him to become concerned. He felt like someone was following him as he made his way home, and when he called Ro A, someone punched him in the back. The man noticed Ro A attempting to protect him when he tried to strike him again.

Episode 3.

An unidentified man was stalking Ji Woo and assaulting him, but Ro A arrived to save him, and the stalker struck him in the arm. The stalker is forced to run away after Ji Woo bites his arm. Ji Woo took him to a clinic so he might be treated. When the doctor asks what happened, Ji Woo lies and says that he was drunk and fell to the ground. Ro A rejects his apology and promises to pay his hospital costs on schedule. Instead, he offers to let him be his arm and hand while he recovers, and the other man accepts.

The next day, Nam Jun couldn’t focus on his Tennis training because of Ro A. When he got home, he saw him wearing a cast, and he immediately got worried and angry. He asks him if he is seeing someone, but the latter says that he was crossing the line, while the former says that he was just concerned. But Ro A says he can be concerned without crossing the line. Namjun remembers that one moment when Ro A told him that he knows what he feels towards him, but Ro A says he’s still his best friend and that he deserves someone better.

Ji Woo is accompanying Yoo Na home when Ro A texts him with his address and residence passcode. When he entered the apartment, RoA was attempting to wash his hair in the bathroom. When Ro A asks for his assistance, he instantly begins to wash his hair. Ro A is even more appreciative of Ji Woo for drying his hair. He washes the dishes before he leaves the apartment. And when he went to check on him, he was deep asleep. Ji Woo wrote his cast a message of inspiration.

At school, Namjun met their friend Minjae. He asks about Ro A’s romantic situation, and the latter replies that he is just hanging out with Ji Woo. When Ji Woo unexpectedly enters, he asks where Ro A is. They first spoke in the café. He complies with Ro A’s request for food. After eating, Minjae captures Ji Woo. Asking if he was the cause of the pain in his arms, Minjae revealed to him that he was Ro A’s flatmate. Additionally, Minjae warned him against playing around with people because he was responsible for multiple harms. Back in their Marriage and Love class, others in the class were gossiping with each other until Hyena showed him something on her phone and asked him if they were dating.
