With more self-assurance, Adachi told Kurosawa of his abilities. Now that he knew the truth, he was relieved. When he realized that his friend had also turned into an elf, he felt relieved. Episode 9.
After their kiss, everything went awkward for Adachi. While going back to their office, Kurosawa asked him if he had given those earphones to him because he knew he had lost them. Adachi agreed and apologized because he didn’t know what to give him. Kurosawa noticed that he was embarrassed, so he assured him that he liked his gift and that he had a lot of good qualities and just didn’t realize it. Kurosawa puts his hand on his shoulder and says he will help him show his good qualities. Adachi feels embarrassed when the latter says that he just received his most precious gift on his birthday, their first kiss.
Tsuge noticed that Minato and Rokkaku were awfully distant friends who had known each other since college, and it seemed like Minato was avoiding Rokkaku. The latter tries to help him fill out a form when Minato says he will wait for him outside. He accidentally touched Rokkku’s hand, and in the younger man’s mind, he knew that Minato was avoiding him because he was the one who quit the club to find a job, and unlike Minato, he didn’t have any talent. Tsuge felt sad for the two as he felt their sadness for their broken friendship.
After their event, Rokkaku cleaned up, and their supervisor praised him for a successful event. He told him that Adachi helped him with his work, so it’s easier now that he doesn’t have to do all the calculations. A moment later, the two came in to help them finish work. Tsue noticed that Minato left his gift bag, and the latter said he didn’t need it. While walking home, Tsuge talks about how they met Rokkaku unexpectedly. Minato confessed that they used to goof off together in college, but now Rokkaku wears a suit and works in that huge building, unlike him, who still works as a part-timer.
Tsuge recognizes that feeling. Before he became successful, he felt pathetic for having nothing compared to Adachi and his proper job. So Tsuge realizes that he needs to help them both. He told Monato that, in the past, he once avoided a friend who had a proper job. He told him that they can still make friends as adults, but college friends you can speak frankly with are hard to come by. Rokkaku ran into them to give Minato his gift. Minato realizes that he misses his friend, so he invites him to dance again, as he still has his shoes. Rokkaku felt delighted to know that his friend was not avoiding him, so he agreed and promised to dance with him again.
