When Yuma finds out about Meguro, he yells and shouts, his anger accompanied by thunder and lightning. As if that isn’t enough to illustrate his emotions. Out of the blue, lightning set fire to the man’s goods that he used for trade for batteries and food. After that incident, the four head to the car and leave.

Episode 6: The Whirlpool Of Despair Brought By Reality.

Masumi, Ritsu, Yuma, and Meguro found a house where they decided to spend the night. Meguro and Yuma went outside to pick up some firewood, but as Yuma ran out, Masumi followed him to find the rest. Masumi ended up finding Meguro and Yuma in a deep conversation about Madoka. Meanwhile, Meguro confronts Ritsu so the latter would tell the truth about the reason for his sister’s death. Unbeknownst that he had arrived, Yuma overheard everything, including the part about Ritsu dating Madoka. Ritsu denied it, but Yuma kept on questioning Ritsu, and why he lied about Madoka and starts blaming him. After Yuma expresses his disappointment with him, he runs away. Masumi follows him, tried to calm him down, and begs him to listen to him. And an accident happens when Yuma pushes Masumi away. Ritsu checks Masumi’s injuries and Yuma starts blaming himself for the incident.
Masumi woke up lying on the bed. He calls out to Ritsu for making an overacting expression on his face. Understandably, he is worried since there’s no access to the medication and can’t take him to the hospital in his state, with one wrong move that might cause him to death. Ritsu started to shed tears as he apologized for all the things he did. If there’s a second chance, he will correct everything and dearly care for him but there’s no certainty of the future as the world is about to end. Masumi accepted his apology and then shares a kiss.
The next day afternoon, Ritsu arrives from roaming around the vicinity to look for a clinic and luckily he found one, an hour and 30 minutes away. He drove back with the bicycle with the medication that Masumi needs. He checks Masumi’s condition and asks him to drink the medicine he brought. Before Ritsu leaves to freshen up, Masumi asks if he could tell the truth between him and Meguro’s older sister, and he gladly tells the truth, that he is a man who dresses up like a woman to them that night.
After Meguro discovered the truth behind Meguro’s older sister, he leaves Ritsu alone. Ritsu begins reminiscing and then after, he takes out ‘death’ pills from his pocket.
As he was reminiscing, we learned that he was an illegitimate child and that whenever he achieves something and gets praised, that was the only time his mother will smile at him. One day, Ritsu’s father asks him to give up pursuing attending the prestigious Tokyo University. The main reason was his stepbrother did not pass the university and he did not want the illegitimate child to surpass the other son. Ritsu’s father said that he will support him financially in everything he will do moving forward if he agrees not to attend Tokyo University. Ritsu begrudgingly agrees.
Meanwhile, back in his adult life, his relationship with Masumi is the longest time that he has had. All those times, he still felt the strongest feelings when he was with him, but he knew that he no longer deserved him after having cheated on him.
Back to the present, he whispers that he wishes he looked for Masumi sooner as he drinks the pill. Masumi stops him and asks to spit it out. Masumi cries and Ritsu becomes speechless.

Another night passed by, and Masumi, Ritsu, Yuma, and Meguro continue their journey to Matsumoto by riding bikes. Masumi pretends that nothing happened last night. After a long trip and feeling exhausted, they decided to stop by to drink some water from the hidden spring where other people filled their water gallons.
To rest up, they went to the river as mentioned by the locals. Yuma enjoyed swimming with his accompany, Meguro. Although Masumi’s bruise is swollen, Ritsu and Masumi enjoy each other company as they reconcile and share a kiss. Given the chance, Ritsu wants to explore the world with Masumi. Yuma and Meguro saw them kissing and assume they are a couple.
Finally, they arrived safely at Meguro’s parents’ house. At first, the mom assumes it was Madoka, but later the dad thanks Ritsu and Masumi for bringing Meguro home. Seeing Madoka’s urn, Masumi suddenly realized they were facing the reality of death.
Episode 8: The Last Moment Longing for A Miracle
The finale episode begins with Masumi narrating that they are now facing the reality of death. Yuma, Masumi, and Ritsu pay respect to Madoka. Meguro asks Yuma to join him and heads to Madoka’s room. Meguro handed Yuma those letters he sent to his late sister. Yuma tears up, knowing Madoka read and kept his letters. Meguro hugs him and begs him not to forget his sister. Yuma promises that he won’t while Masumi and Ritsu watch them.

Three days left before the huge meteorite hits the Earth. Meguro’s father lends his car to them to make their journey easier. Meguro went outside to hand some snacks to them. And suddenly, a bottle of alcohol from those drunk youngsters fell. Yuma runs to save Meguro and the bottle went in slow-motion and floats for a while before landing on the ground. Masumi and Ritsu were shocked to see what happened to the bottle. Before they head out, Meguro gives his contact to Yuma so he can text him if a miracle happens and everything went normal. Yuma assures them that they will meet again. After a few hours of driving, they finally reached Yuma’s place and bid goodbye to Masumi and Ritsu.

That night while resting in the car, Ritsu wonders where are they going tomorrow. Masumi suggested going to his place instead because Ritsu’s place is too high up, which will make it hard for Masumi to go. As the cold wind blows inside the car… Masumi feels cold and asks Ritsu to warm him up. And the two spent together a heated night.
Masumi and Ritsu have the last day to spend together as the world ends tomorrow morning. They go to Masumi’s place, where everything began, and Ritsu feels grateful for everything that has happened so far. He said that he feels happy that he finally reunited with Masumi. Masumi expresses that he feels the same way and that if there were more time, he wants to spend the rest of it with Ritsu.

The two spend another night where they made love, and that is when Masumi realizes that miracles do exist. The epilogue appears, and a miracle young man “Yuma” blew the huge meteorite away from the Earth. Masumi and Ritsu woke up with their phone alarm reminding them of the estimated time of the impact. The two head to the window and together they open it.
The drama showcases impressive acting from the cast and a pinch of boldness and spiciness, pretty similar to the production’s previous work “Pornography”. The most unforgettable scenes are discovering Masumi and Ritsu’s pasts and finding out how they deal with them. The epilogue and the ending seem open as the viewers can wrap with their preference. Nonetheless, kudos to the director and the crew who did well in terms of finding such good locations, coloring, cinematography, and soundtracks. Despite Masumi and Ritsu’s toxic relationship… It is definitely worth watching.
