New Doubts and Routes Ensue in ‘The End Of The World With You’ EPs 4-5

Episode 6. Newfound Doubt Amidst the Chaos

On September 18, 2023, Ritsu, Masumi, and Yuma arrived at a hotel that will accommodate them for a night. After paying 10,000 yen per person, they head to their room, where they hear a man and a lady bickering. Yuma slightly opens the door to see who they are. When he recognized it was Maataso, he calls her to enter the room. Yuma still can’t believe that she’s still alive. Ritsu recognized her when she said Rikkun, and Masumi wondered who was she.

Maataso thanks them for saving her from that man. She introduces herself as Meguro Kagami and Madoka was her elder sister. Masumi asks to explain who is Maataso. Yuma gladly answer that, it was Kagami’s sister and his bias who committed suicide which made the headlines because of her group’s popularity. Yuma wonders how Ritsu knew her. Ritsu replies that they co-starred in several shows. Masumi continued asking her. Meguro reveals she’s supposedly going to the University of Tokyo but decided to reunite with her family but as it turns out, it was quite far. She also added that she experienced such an argument for the third time, which leads her to ask if she can stay in their room. Masumi responded in silence while Yuma said yes, and offer to join them in heading to Matsumoto. However, it was ruined by Masumi’s slow-witted response. Meguro asks Yuma if she’s a high schooler which Yuma didn’t deny. Yuma shares the fact that he’s a huge fan of Kagami’s sister, but he got rejected and started questioning his existence. He believes that fate leads them to meet and might be the reason why he exists.

After hearing it, Meguro asks the two if they will allow her to join them. Masumi replies if Yuma agrees, they will allow her. Meguro headed to Yuma where she held his hand and whispers that she’s will be counting on him. Yuma still can’t believe what she did and passes out in utter disbelief.

As the night deepens, Yuma and Meguro sleep on the bed and couch respectively, while Ritsu and Masumi lay down on the floor. Masumi asks Ritsu if he and Meguro’s older sister, Madoka, used to date or had a friends-with-benefit relationship. Ritsu denies it but never thought that Madoka had a sister that resembles her. Masumi is filled with curiosity, so if he wants an answer to questions, he must stick with him, Ritsu said. After that night, Masumi wakes up first and heads to the comfort room and is taken by surprise as he witnesses how Meguro pee. With his reaction, Ritsu woke up and wondered what happen. Even Meguro confirms that he saw it, too.

With just a few more days left, Masumi, Ritsu, Yuma, and Meguro continued their trip heading to Matsumoto. When Yuma saw there was a public restroom, he asks for a break which they did. While Yuma heads to the restroom, Masumi asks Meguro why he decided to dress up like a girl. Meguro reveals the truth to them except for Yuma. He has a hobby of taking erotic images and uploading them online. At first, he has no courage to dress up like a girl and he claims that he was just trying it out. Meguro asks them to hide the truth from Yuma so he wouldn’t crush his dream, to which Masumi and Ritsu agreed. The trip continues and decided to pull over again to get water. They found a man who had water but he was not accepting cash and, instead, was trading it with batteries and food. That man found interest in Meguro’s feature as he offers a box of water bottles in exchange for jerking him off. Meguro agrees despite Masumi’s disapproval for such reason they are both men and do not bother to jerk him off. When Yuma found out, he started to yell and shouts accompanied by thunder sounds. The lightning strikes that man’s goods and lit a fire leaving nothing while the four head to the car and leave.

Things are just getting heated up! And with just a few more days until the end of the world, we can only watch on and see what would happen to Masumi, Risu, and the rest of the people of their world.
