The classmates who will watch over the relationship between two childhood friends have been selected!
‘I Cannot Reach You’ delves into the frustrations and conflicts faced by two childhood friends who are drawn to each other but find it challenging to express their feelings. Maeda Kentaro and Kashiwagi Haru have been cast in the lead roles, portraying Yamato and Kakeru, respectively. In addition to the main couple, their friends are portrayed by Tanaka Taketo, an accomplished actor known for his appearances in many popular dramas and movies, who will play Fujino Kousuke. Matsumoto Reo, who gained fame through TikTok and entered the entertainment industry, participated in various dramas including ‘Jack O’ Frost.’ He will be taking on the role of Hosaka Yu. Momose Takumi, a finalist in the 31st Junon Superboy contest in 2018 and a popular influencer will be playing Amamiya Souichiro. This will be Tanaka and Momose’s first appearance in a TBS drama series.

Hosaka Yu is a classmate of Yamato and Kakeru. At first glance, he seems like a frivolous person, but he actually understands the feelings of others and can support them. With his keen powers of observation, he is the first one to notice the relationship between Yamato and Kakeru and give them a push.
Amamiya Souichiro is a classmate of Yamato and Kakeru. He is a soft-spoken person who is attentive to his surroundings and maintains balance. While he can bring everyone together, he is the only person who can stop the self-paced Hosaka.
