The sweet coming-of-age story revolving around friendship and first love is coming this September 26!
‘I Cannot Reach You’ is based on the popular manga of the same name by Mika and features the frustration and conflicts of two childhood friends who are drawn to each other but struggle to express their feelings. The lead roles are taken up by Maeda Kentaro, known for his role in Kamen Rider Revice, as Yamato, and Kashiwagi Haru, a member of the Japanese boy group BULLET TRAIN, as Kakeru. This will be their first appearance in a TBS drama and their first lead role. With a height difference close to the characters from the manga, Yamato and Kakeru come to life!

Oohara Yamato is a high school student with outstanding style and excellent grades, who is admired by girls. Because he doesn’t talk much, people around him think he’s unfriendly. Kakeru is a childhood friend he has feelings for.
Ashiya Kakeru is a bright and ordinary high school student whose grades are not good. He is a childhood friend of Yamato, but his personality is the exact opposite, and people around him wonder why they get along so well.
