Minato is cleaning at the laundromat when he notices Asuka looking troubled. Asuka shares he’s inheriting the fish shop, but he playfully wonders what it would be like to become a cat instead. As they talk, Shin arrives and asks Minato for a favor. He asks Minato to be his guide in Tokyo for an open house event and Minato agrees. In Tokyo, Asuka secretly explores architecture with Shuu on the phone while Minato accompanies Shin on the campus tour. Afterward, they enjoy a date together, visiting tourist spots, trying local food, and taking photos. They make wishes and buy charms for Shin’s examination. However, Asuka loses his phone, causing them to miss the bus and train. They have no option but to stay at an inn for the night.

Minato panics about staying the night with Shin and Asuka, so he leaves to buy underwear from the convenience store. He gets lost and scared, but Shin follows him out of concern so they end up buying the item together. Upon returning, Asuka has already claimed the separate bed to sleep in and ignores Minato’s attempt to switch. Minato tries to avoid looking at Shin the whole night, especially after a heart-pounding moment when he gives Shin a towel while he’s already in the shower. After the trip, Minato comes out of the shower to find everyone asleep, but Shin is actually still awake. Shin admits he can’t sleep knowing Minato is next to him and asks if he can hold his hand. He wonders why he likes Minato so much but can’t be the one Minato likes. Despite that, Shin is happy just holding Minato’s hand. After Shin’s announcement, Minato is relieved that he’ll return after his exams. Shin promises to face the exams on his own and come back to Minato in six months. At the store, Asuka confesses his feelings to Shuu, willing to become a cat, dog, or any animal to be by his side. Shuu pats his head and tells him to do as he pleases. Later, Asuka visits Minato, who is looking through a recipe book, and teases him about missing Shin’s food. He asks Minato about how Shin approached him, seeking advice as he has started dating Shuu, who is more interested in architecture. Minato, remembering all the heart-pounding moments with Shin, covers his face and tells Asuka to figure it out on his own. After leaving the garage, Minato is greeted by Sakuma and the members of the swimming club. They enjoy their beach time, and Minato inquires about Shin. He shares that Shin is planning on not seeing him until the exams are over because he’s worried about his feelings. Sakuma tells him that Minato and Shin are similar in the way that they care about others. After everyone leaves, Minato thinks about Shin’s confession on the beach and the moment they held hands at the inn.

After half a year, Shin passes his exams and they celebrate at Minato’s place. Minato proudly boasts about improving his cooking skills, and Shin credits the amulet they got in Tokyo for helping him persevere. While washing dishes, Shin asks Minato about his thoughts on staying or leaving for Tokyo. Holding his hand, he asks if Minato wants him to be by his side, to which Minato admits that Shin will have a brighter future in Tokyo. Anticipating this response, Shin thanks Minato for the meal and prepares to leave. Minato, feeling upset, chases after him, not caring about his future anymore, and plans to confess. However, upon seeing Shin packing boxes to move, Minato becomes dejected.

At the laundromat, Asuka and Sakurako inform Minato that Shin is leaving today and give him a letter from Shin. In the letter, Shin expresses that Minato has held a special place in his heart for ten years, and he had hoped to win Minato’s heart through persistence. However, he now understands that it’s not that simple. He wishes Minato a happy life and bids him farewell. Minato rushes to the beach and confesses his deep feelings for Shin, vowing to wait for his return and repay his love. Shin reveals that he’s actually attending a local university, not going to Tokyo, and the boxes were just his father’s things. He had asked Sakurako to throw away the letter, but they played a trick on Minato. Relieved, Minato embraces Shin and they share a passionate kiss. Shin confesses his love for Minato and kisses him even more intensely. In the heat of the moment, they both fall into the water. Minato suggests drying their clothes at the laundromat, and they share another kiss as they fall into the water again.
