“Naked Dining” is a romantic-comedy story of an office worker — who has a “secret” way of relieving stress that he keeps from anyone — and unexpectedly falls in love with a young man who runs a fruit and veggies store
The first episode begins with a hilarious encounter between Ichijou (played by stage actor Shori Kondo) and Mahiro (played by Goto Yutaro from “Cherry Magic). The 24-minute-long episode captures how office workers find ways to relieve their stress at work from the same daily routines and overtime through karaoke, playing sports, eating — uhm, how about “naked dining”? — and reminded us of those glimpse moments we’ve spent with our grandparents. Of course, it showcases salivating and captivating dishes which show how the director filmed its preparation and how the colorist made each color of the ingredients pop and stand out, and is truly instagram-worthy. After watching, fans are definitely curious about what happens next when Mahiro discovers Ichijou’s unusual way of relieving stress.
