Adachi developed the ability to read people’s minds when he turned thirty and was still a virgin. As a result, he discovered that Kurosawa, one of his coworkers, was in love with him. Episode 3.
As an unpopular person, Adachi struggles at their company gathering that is held at a karaoke bar. While looking at Kurosawa, his newbie officemate Rokkaku came to him. Adachi was not good at interacting with playboys like him. When the latter sat down beside him and their arms touched, Adachi discovered that his officemate was feeling sick because of alcohol, but he was trying to keep the energy high. He felt bad for him, so he gave him something to keep his energy up. Though he always forgets his name, Rokkaku is thankful to him. Kurosawa felt jealous when he saw Aachi wipe Rokkaku’s face, so he went near them and told him that the girls were interested in him.
Kurosawa sat beside him, and when he tried to read his mind, he stopped as his face was so close to him. Kurosawa sang at the karaoke when their boss asked him, and Adachi was surprised that the handsome, popular guy also had an angelic voice. Some girls went to sit beside Kurosawa, so Adachi stood up, and when he bumped into one of the girls, he got terrified when she said in his mind that someone like him shouldn’t sit beside Kurosawa. A little later, she bumped into his pretty officemate, Fujisaki. He’s always interested in her because she’s nice and kind.
Kurosawa felt jealous again when he saw drunk Rokkaku touch Adachi again. Adachi went out, and he saw Fujisaki arguing with two men. The girl asks for his help, but he’s also scared, so Kurosawa comes to the rescue, and the men get intimidated and run away. Fujisaki thanked them before she got back inside. Kurosawa told him that he noticed that Adachi was not feeling well, so he got worried, so he followed him. Kurosawa puts a band-aid on his neck so he can read his mind again. Kurosawa felt that he had made Adachi pull away from him.
He got jealous of Rokkaku and Fujisaki, and he had no idea that he had become narrow-minded. Adachi discovered that Kurosawa is not perfect. He thanked him, and with his smile, he knew he was happy. They went to a sauna with a co-worker, and Kurosawa couldn’t help but look at how Adachi was sitting defenseless beside him. He expected it, but he can’t look at him now that it’s happening. He thinks that if he sees all of Adachi after that, he’ll be reminded that Adachi is a man all over again. He admits that he likes Adachi, and fantasizes about him, but he only dated a woman, so he’s curious about what would happen if he saw him.
Adachi screamed as he felt hot, and when he stood up, his towel lowered, and he got awkward when Kurosawa fantasized about him again. They walked home together, and he took a picture of him. Kurosawa then realized that when Adachi says he likes him, he probably means as a friend. When he was young, Kurosawa always benefited from having a handsome face. But once he started working, he started experiencing more animosity too. He then remembered that one night they had dinner with the company president, and the latter liked him. When she touched him and whispered that she liked him, he stood up and walked away, which made the woman upset.
He felt helpless, so Adachi stayed with him that night. He laid on his lap, and he was surprised when his heart fluttered when Adachi encouraged him. He looks at him and tells him that seeing him down is like a novel sight. Several months later, he noticed that he started to like Adachi. He never thought that he would experience love at his age. He praised Adachi for being kind, but the latter thanked him because he realized that ever since he hung out with him, he had gained confidence. Kurosawa is getting his hopes up again, and because he made him happy with the smallest thing, he feels like it’s magic. He took a photo of them, and this time, Adachi agreed.
