It has been revealed that there will be a special edited version of the TV anime that will be produced and released in theatres this year, 2024 in Japanese cinemas. To commemorate the production decision, they released a teaser visual featuring the two characters sitting on the sand, one displaying a ring on their finger. This hints at the possibility of revisiting a scene shown near the end of the 12th episode. Old fans of the manga who have watched the previous adaptations and the movie are excited about the possibility of new scenes previously seen being added to the anime movie.
