‘My Personal Weatherman’, or Taikan Youhou, is an adaptation of Nikke Taino’s adult manga of the same name. It tells the story of a contractual relationship between a well-known weather forecaster who is a tyrant at home and his erotic manga artist housemate. Along with co-directors Shinju Funabiki and Emi Yasumura, the eight-episode series is directed by Ayaka Kato, who is also the creator of Old Fashion Cupcake. It stars Kohei Higuchi as Mizuki Segasaki, who gives Yoh Tanada, played by Atsuki Mashiko, everything in return for complying with all of his demands.

Episode 1.
For a while, Yoh ponders if his university senior, Mizuki, is truly willing to live with him for free as long as he will do what the latter instructs him to do or whether his senior’s words are hazy to his mind because he dressed too warmly for the weather.
Yoh watches Mizuki on an all-day weather forecast channel while he draws, and the heavy rain continues to pour on. Meanwhile, he receives a call from a co-manga artist, Man, who is a big fan of the meteorologist. She starts to praise the forecaster for his good looks and gentle smile. Although Yoh claims that those are the same characteristics that he hates, Man thinks that the former, watching the weather forecast six times a day, says otherwise. The two are talking about an upcoming deadline and Yoh’s less profitable sales when Mizuki arrives and ends the phone call himself. The forecaster simply says the word ”food” to remind his housemate to start cooking for him. An angry Yoh starts to prepare their dinner while reminiscing about how he ended up in this situation three years ago after Mizuki, then his senior at the university offered him free lodging in exchange for doing whatever he said. The up-and-coming high earner tells the struggling junior that he can continue to draw manga without worrying about money if he says yes.
Back to the present, a freshly showered Mizuki questions Yoh about the woman he always seems to be speaking with and wordlessly walks away after the manga artist answers that she’s just a friend. Over dinner, the forecaster shows his tyrannical side by ordering the manga artist around with something as simple as getting soy sauce and even drinking from his glass. After cleaning up, Yoh notices Mizuki staring at him intently and asks him why; the latter just approaches him and gives him his used towel before bidding goodnight. He wonders internally why the forecaster seems to be limited to speaking two words at a time.
While watching the evening weather forecast, Yoh hears that the heavy rain will stop soon except for their area and remembers Mizuki telling him after they had sex that they will only do so on days before a sunny day moving forward. From the forecast, he realizes that there will still be more rainy days for him. The following day, Yoh gets flustered when he sees his housemate again in the weather forecast show, and the latter announces that the weather is expected to be sunny the day after. He wonders when the word “sunny” became lewd to him. He receives a message from Mizuki to cook curry for dinner on his way home from the grocery store, and while embarrassed to return, he still follows the order.
