People say that love is the strangest and most illogical thing in the world and few people are lucky to experience it at first sight.
In ‘Please Tell Me So,’ we follow the story of Yoo Kyum (played by Han Hyun Jun) as he falls in love at first sight as he meets Seung Woo (played by Ahn Jong Sun) in the most unexpected place. This short BL film is written and directed by Jang Young Sun.

‘Please Tell Me So’ opens with Yoo Kyum, a coffee shop barista, who’s napping on the job and awakens to a handsome customer named Seung Woo. Yoo Kyum is rendered speechless by Seung Woo’s looks and immediately updates his Blued account, a gay social networking dating app. “He’s my ideal type,” he writes on his profile.
Immediately, we are taken on a montage– complete with a dramatic piano piece playing in the background– of specific details on how Seung Woo is totally Yoo Kyum’s type which he constantly shares on his account. Yoo Kyum shares how he likes men who wear glasses while they read books, how he finds it cute that he tied a bow with the strings of his hoodie, or how he likes men who have a sweet tooth. Yoo Kyum even ponders about the scars on Seung Woo’s forearm and their history, the way he looks so soft, how good he looks with a cap, and how he gulps his coffee. Yoo Kyum is enamored.
Seung Woo becomes a regular at the cafe and one day, Yoo Kyum offers him a coffee for free. Seung Woo quips he is actually not in the mood to drink one. Yoo Kyum then offers to make him a different drink which Seung Woo stops with a hand over Yoo Kyum’s. It stuns Yoo Kyum.
A moment later, we see Yoo Kyum looking over where Seung Woo is usually seated and finds him gone with only the half-empty glass of coffee on the table. Yoo Kyum follows him outside where Seung Woo’s smoking a cigarette. Yoo Kyum awkwardly saunters beside Seungwoo and fishes a stick of his own. He fumbles for a lighter but finds none. Seung Woo regards him and asks if he wants him to light his cigarette which delights Yoo Kyum. And of course, Seung Woo reaches for Yoo Kyum’s nape, leans forward a little too close, and lights his cigarette with the one between his own lips. Flustered, Yoo Kyum shares that his high school senior used to light his cigarette like that too except he holds the stick in his mouth and lights them together. Yoo Kyum is obviously rambling and finding a way to strike up a conversation with Seung Woo. That does not bode well for him though, because Seung Woo ends up coldly asking him if he is reminiscing about his old love story because of him. Seung Woo says he should have just lit his cigarette with a lighter and promptly leaves a dumbfounded Yoo Kyum.
Yoo Kyum sulks presumably for days as Seung Woo suddenly stops frequenting the cafe. But as soon as he clocks out of work, he sees Seung Woo with a bike in tow in front of the cafe across the street. They share a look before Yoo Kyum walks over to where he is. They share a walk.
