Episode 4
Hira finally started college life – and it’s a lot different than in high school. He finally felt comfortable that there is no cliques… and he joined the photography club, too, where he met his friend, Koyama. But despite it all, he still can’t forget Kiyoi… Kiyoi who is now a model appears on television.
Hira has not seen Kiyoi since high school, but on one fateful day – which happens to be Koyama’s birthday – Hira saw Kiyoi at one of his performances. He was stunned to see his first love, but Kiyoi, as playful as ever, treated Hira the same way he did. He invited Hira to the after-party, but Hira reluctantly turned it down because Koyama clearly wanted to spend his birthday with Hira alone. After celebrating Koyama’s birthday together, Hira went back straight to the performance cafe where Hira was and watched him again. Hira, once again, invited him to the after-party.
After drinking a little bit too much at the party, Hira and Kiyoi had some time to talk as they both sobered up. Kiyoi mentioned that he doesn’t have a proper place to rehearse and Hira offered his own house to him, which led to Kiyoi asking for his phone number. While Hira was typing his number into Kiyoi’s phone, he asked Hira why he changed his number. He said that he dropped his phone into the water (specifically in the canal at the place where Kiyoi kissed Hira). Once they were sobered up and walking to the metro, Kiyoi stopped and asked Hira if he and Koyama are indeed dating. Hira was surprised that Kiyoi asked this but denied that they are. Despite this, Kiyoi still playfully kicked him and they went their separate ways. The next day, Kiyoi called Hira to ask if he can rehearse at his house, but unfortunately, Hira was called for an emergency because Koyama was sick.
Episode 5
Kiyoi has a hard time with his role, especially saying the words ‘I like you’. Kiyoi gives the audience a glimpse of his background – where he came from a single-parent family who remarried and did not have enough time for him. He put his focus on the entertainers on television and realized that it is what he wanted to become. Kiyoi wanted to feel liked and worshipped, which is why his curiosity was piqued by Hira, the same way Kiyoi was piqued by Hira, too.
Kiyoi, unbeknownst to him, began having feelings for Hira, especially at that time when he defended Kiyoi against the gang back when they were in high school. He asked himself how can someone like him as much as Hira did. During their graduation, however, he waited for Hira to confess to him again, but Kiyoi instead, got impatient, thus the last kiss. He realized they might not see each other again, the same thoughts that Hira did as well. Despite knowing this, Kiyoi thought that Hira would still follow him. However, when he tried calling Hira’s phone, it turned out that he changed his phone number! Kiyoi got annoyed and refused to even go to Hira’s house despite knowing where it is. But, as fate would have it, the theater director’s brother turned out to be Koyama, Hira’s friend. Koyama’s brother kept talking about his brother’s boyfriend, and when he mentioned that it is a guy named Hira, Kiyoi was surprised and asked his theater director to invite them to the show.
Because he knew that Hira would be coming to the show, Kiyoi felt nervous about it. After the show, Kiyoi felt victorious that Hira agreed to go to the after-party, innately gloating to Koyama that he ‘won’ Hira over. However, he was surprised and disappointed that Kiyoi chose to leave with Koyama to celebrate. Which is why he was surprised that Hira came back to see him. This began another turmoil for Kiyoi because he knew he felt different for Hira only.
Kiyoi was curious why Hira was not able to answer his question about coming over to his house to rehearse, so he went over. However, he saw Hira being hugged and confessed to by Koyama. Kiyoi stormed out in anger despite Hira running after him to explain what happened. Hira sat down with Koyama to let him know that he only has feelings for Kiyoi.
