Itsuki and Fuyu are back to give us a glimpse of their love after the first season! But will things end well this time? Let’s find out in our GL recap of the first three episodes of ‘CHASER GAME W2: Celestial Love’.
Episode 1
Itsuki and Fuyu are finally back together! It picks up right after the last episode of the first season where Fuyu and Itsuki reunite at their favorite cafe. After a few years, Fuyu is now the manager of the cafe, waiting for Itsuki to come back. It was then that Itsuki learned that Fuyu’s husband was the one who initiated that they should go back to Japan, after staying in China and being unhappy. Fuyu’s husband gave him the blessing that they would be separating and would continuously co-parent their child together (talk about ally of the century?!). Fuyu and her family told her unwilling and unknowing mother that they would be going back to Japan for business.
But who is this? There’s a new girl who just gave a warm hug to Itsuki! It turns out that it’s her old friend (and ex-girlfriend), Yoreum.
Episode 2
Itsuki’s old flame Yoreum is now a huge (and out) influencer. She chose the cafe Itsuki was working to film a show and the two eventually reunited. Fuyu goes out and sees her old friends who let her know who and what Yoreum is. This didn’t help Fuyu’s anxiety (and jealousy) over the beautiful Korean lesbian woman. Her friends and former colleagues reassured her, however, that when they were not together, they asked Itsuki to join a dating app, only to choose her ideal type as someone who looks exactly like Fuyu. This calmed Fuyu a bit, until she passed by Itsuki’s cafe and saw her together with Yoreum, being a little bit too close. Not wanting to have any misunderstanding, Itsuki goes to talk to Fuyu and practically screams in public that she is in love with her. Embarrassed, Fuyu runs to the elevator and melts down with so much happiness and giddiness over the public declaration of affection to her. Unfortunately, the elevator she was on broke down, and Itsuki had to guide her through her panic attack. When she got off the elevator (by Itsuki being the superwoman that she is and manually opening the elevator doors), the two shared a hug.
