The case is open, and the hunt for the truth begins soon in ‘Petrichor,’ premiering on November 23.
‘Petrichor’ is based on the author duo SIXTEENSEVEN’s novel “Petrichor — Rust in the Rain”. The adaptation is being penned by Sammon, known for her novels “Manner of Death,” “Triage,” and “Spare Me Your Mercy.” The story follows Lieutenant Tul, a rookie officer in the Criminal Investigation Department, as she navigates her first field deployment. She encounters Dr. Cherran, a forensic doctor, and their differing work attitudes create tension. Amidst crime scenes that reflect societal issues, Tul faces pressure from a system favoring influential groups, while maintaining her integrity. As Tul and Cherran team up, they analyze crime scene evidence, gradually building trust. Together, they work to protect the innocent and bring justice to victims’ families. Engfa Waraha and Charlotte Austin will play the characters Tul and Dr. Cherran, respectively.
After the press conference, the official account released the teaser and announced that the series will premiere on November 23, exclusively on the global streaming platform iQIYI. The trailer showcases suspenseful and dramatic scenes, featuring glimpses of a mysterious killer. In addition, fans are teased with sweet moments that highlight the chemistry between Tul and Dr. Cherran as the couple pursues the truth together amidst secrets, crimes, and love.
