Cheyenne Jackson Joins Dominique Jackson In The Drag Horror ‘Queens of the Dead’

We are in for some hunky eye candy for the upcoming drag horror movie, ‘Queens of the Dead’!

‘American Horror Story: Roanoke’ and ‘Glee’ star Cheyenne Jackson has joined ‘Pose’ headliner Dominique Jackson in the cast for the dragalicious zombie film, ‘Queens of the Dead.’

An official synopsis of the movie from Deadline reads, “An eclectic group of drag queens, club kids, and frenemies must put aside their personal dramas and use their unique skills to combat the brain-thirsty undead when a zombie apocalypse breaks out during their drag show in Brooklyn.”

Joining the Jacksons in the film are ‘Drag Race: All Stars 9’ Nina West, ‘I Saw The TV Glow‘s non-binary star Brigette Lundy-Paine, ‘Love Lies Bleeding’ actor Katy O’Brian, and ‘Fire Island’ stars Margaret Cho and Tomas Matos.

‘Mean Girls’ star Jaquel Spivey, Riki Lindhome (Knives Out), and Shaunette Renée Wilson (Black Panther and Billions) are also set to star in the horror comedy.

The film is co-written by Tina Romero and Erin Judge. It is said to pay tribute to the zombies from Romero’s father, George Romero, and his classic zombie films with “a fresh, contemporary, and queer twist” while promising a “genre-smashing, glam-gore thrill ride through the zombie apocalypse.”

On the project and its casting, Tina Romero said, “This is the cast of my wildest dreams. In a movie about survival, you gotta love and root for the survival crew. Every single person in this ensemble brings such a special and specific flavor -both on and off-screen. The result is truly a magic sauce.”
