‘Red, White & Royal Blue’ star Nicholas Galitzine weighs in on the discourse on straight actors taking on queer roles.
Speaking on SiriusXM’s The Jess Cagle Show, the 29-year-old actor was asked to give his take on straight actors getting gay roles debate and Galitzine answered that he “gets the argument” but that “he feels lucky to be able to play his characters.”
Galitzine praised his roles for being “rich on the page” saying, “I mean, you know, you look at Conor Masters from Handsome Devil and Prince Henry from Red White & Royal Blue. I mean, these are two young men completely trapped by circumstance and feel a sense of deep claustrophobia on their lives.”
