Glory Day Entertainment has announced a casting call for its newest romantic comedy BL series with the working title ‘Sangmin and Dinneaw.’
The project will be a collaboration between Korea and Thailand as the story features two lead actors from the two countries.
The drama is said to be based on an unreleased novel and will be set in Thailand.
Dinneaw is to be played by a new Thai actor, a 22-year-old sweet-faced Thai. He was a member of the National Academy of Arts and Sciences. He wants to help his mom with business at home as a child and he likes to listen to music, sing, dance, etc. He has to have a good command of spoken and written English. His character is said to have never experienced love except for his mother’s.
There is no character description for Sangmin as of this writing.
Aside from the character Dinneaw, the entertainment company is also looking for possible actors for the characters “Tor,” “Arthit,” “Guy,” and “Ricter.”
‘Sangmin and Dinneaw’ is not the first partnership between two of the powerhouse countries for BL content as evidenced by ‘Love Like A Cat’ which stars Mew Suppasit Jongcheveevat and Choo Ji Min (JM), a member of the K-Pop group JUSTB. It is set to premiere on April 1 on Rakuten TV for Japanese fans and in selected regions through Rakuten Viki. There is no available streaming site for Southeast Asian fans.
