TV Chef Stuart O’Keeffe Claims He Was Initially Casted For ‘Queer Eye’ But Got Replaced By Antoni Porowski

It seems like the drama is not over for ‘Queer Eye’ fans.

TV chef personality Stuart O’Keeffe has revealed that he was initially cast as one of the “Fab Five” for ‘Queer Eye’ but was unexpectedly replaced by Antoni Porowski.

On the podcast ‘Don’t Let It Stu,’ O’Keeffe divulged that he was shocked to have been replaced by Porowski after being cast as an original member of the “Fab Five”

“I actually got chosen. I was in one group of five, there was another group of five, which Antoni was in,” O’Keeffe recalled. “They came in [and said to my group], ‘You’re the Fab Five.’ We all went outside the room, screaming, jumping up and down. I was like, ‘Let’s get a photograph. This is such a great moment for us.”

O’Keeffe then shared the picture of him alongside Tan France, Bobby Berk, Karamo Brown, and Jonathan Van Ness that they snapped at the time.

However, a month before filming started, O’Keeffe said that he did not receive a contract. The chef worried about it and called up the others who confirmed that they had already received their contracts.

He then went out to celebrate with Brown, Berk, and Jonathan Van Ness, a dinner sans France which he also thought was a little peculiar. After that, O’Keeffe recalled being called for another audition, and two days later, he was officially replaced by Porowski.

O’Keeffe added that the production initially wanted him because he has done so many things such as a cookbook that came out at the time but eventually backtracked and said that it was the very same reason he got axed since they “wanted everybody on the same level.”

Well, it seems like France has got more explaining to do following his alleged “mean girl antics” with fellow castmate Porowski who supposedly campaigned to replace Berk with their friend Jeremiah Brent.
