Biphobia? In the year 2024?
The official trailer for the new romantic comedy ‘French Girl’ starring Zach Braff, Vanessa Hudgens, and Evelyne Brochu has just been released and it is already under fire for having jokes that are considered “biphobic”.
An official synopsis of the film reads, “Gordon (played by Braff) is a hopeless romantic whose proposal plans are put in jeopardy when his girlfriend gets swept away to Canada by a job offer from her ex. Determined to keep their love alive, he leaves Brooklyn, N.Y., for her hometown, only to find himself out of his depth while trying to charm her hard-to-impress, French-speaking family.”
When Gordon meets Ruby (played by Hudgens), a gorgeous restaurant owner, he immediately becomes suspicious of her. His suspicions are later confirmed when he sifts through his girlfriend Sophie’s (played by Brochu) photo albums and sees a picture of the two women naked in bed with “Orgasm Queens” written on it.
