‘Heroin The Series’ is the Thai remake of the hit drama ‘Addicted,’ based on Chai Ji Dan’s novel of the same name, which unfortunately was not finished due to the Chinese government’s ban on the show. 

August will take on the role of Hero, the corresponding Thai name of Gu Hai, the son of a high-ranking government official and Pop’s (Bai Lou Yin) classmate, who is later revealed to be his stepbrother. August will star along with Mac as Pop and Jur as Tiger; meanwhile, New Year plays the role of Only (You Qi), which was previously named Tengneung.

The premise of the original drama follows Bai Luo Yin growing up living with his grandmother and divorced father, Bai Han Qi. When he is 16 years old, Luo Yin finds out that his mother, Jiang Yua, remarried high-ranking government official Gu Wei Ting. Luo Yin suddenly finds himself with a new stepbrother in Wei Ting’s son, Gu Hai, who also happens to be in the same class at school! 

The drama is under the direction of Yuan Danop and produced by Hollywood Thailand in collaboration with Golden Dog. It is planned to be released in 2024 on WeTV Thailand.
