A Fated Meeting Happens in ‘Love Senior’ EP1

Manao enters the university and meets head senior Gyoza by accident! Find out what happens in EP1 of ‘Love Senior‘.

Manao finally becomes a part of the engineering program at her university. As a freshman, however, she begins to realize that there are some obstacles she needs to overcome. One of them is the freshman orientation where they have to gain signatures from senior students. Manao gets a reality check from her older brother, Fueang, about how difficult the realities are of being an Engineering student in their university, especially for a freshman like her. Ever the optimist, Manao brushes off Fueang’s warnings, especially about one Head Senior. When she enters the gym, however, she sees the chaos of the freshmen and senior students. The freshmen students are going about doing crazy stints just to get the much-coveted signature from the seniors. One male student even “confessed” to Manao because of a dare from a senior student. Amidst the craze, Manao sees Luktan, a friend she met in their morning orientation. She was surprised when Luktan showed that she already had a lot of signatures on hand, saying a lot of the male seniors actually gave their numbers to her. But before Manao could fully digest the situation, an announcement came that the head senior was entering the gym.

Manao remembered the head senior as the one whom she bumped into and fell into her arms a few moments ago. She was struck by her beauty and learned, as everyone was running with the head senior, that she was the scary senior student that everyone was scared of. Despite her reputation with everyone being scared of her, Manao found her adorable, especially in her arms. Manao plucked up the courage to go up to the scary senior and bravely announced that she wanted her signature, saying she would do anything to get it. Gyoza, the “scary head senior” took up the challenge, asking her to join the annual contest for freshmen.

Inside the private quarters, though, Gyoza praises Manao, telling her best friend that she could not have picked a better junior to join the “Freshy Contest”. Gyoza gives Manao endless praise, saying how beautiful she is, but her best friend, a senior, says they might have issues looking for a “freshy” guy who could be the same height as the tall Manao. The answer knocked in their quarters, with a nerdy freshman, Alee, presenting himself to the seniors.

Gyoza took up Manao’s words in doing everything to get her signature and asked her to drive her using the scooter… to Pattaya. Manao was dumbstruck by this suggestion because they were only using a scooter, but despite that, she still tried to leave with her, asking Manao to hold on to her, taking her arms to wrap them around her waist. The two end up on a beachside, having a heartfelt talk about getting to know each other better. Manao admits that she doesn’t feel scared of Gyoza, saying that it’s probably because they already met before that fated meet-up at the gym. Manao took Gyoza’s glasses off to remind her of what happened, and Gyoza finally remembered. The two become closer, teasing each other (and, dare we say, flirting?!). Manao took off her jacket and put it over Gyoza, who was clearly feeling a bit chilly because of the wind. Gyoza asked Manao if she likes girls, to which she said that she doesn’t really care much about genders and that she wants to like whomever she likes. Gyoza agrees, and Manao teases her if it is because she wants to date her (she does).

The next few days, the seniors gave Alee and Manao a “makeover” in preparation for the Freshy Contest. After the seniors decide to take a break, Manao and Gyoza are left alone in the private room together, with Manao taking care of Gyoza who has swollen eyes. The two continue to obviously flirt, teasing each other, and more. Another senior, Warang, came in and caught them teasing each other, gaining an earful from the senior. She told Gyoza that she should be careful how she’s being perceived by juniors, especially because she is the head senior. Gyoza was left in the room.

Despite getting an earful, however, Gyoza and Manao continue to spend time together because Manao needs to get measured for the outfit she will wear in the Freshy Contest. They still can’t stop flirting, whether it’s intentional or not, and the two look happy just spending time together, even if it’s something as simple as measuring for clothes fitting. After this, the two went to lunch at Gyoza’s favorite tom yum place, and the flirting continued! Gyoza was dumbstruck at how Manao was coming on to her, but it doesn’t mean she hates it. She continues to reciprocate Manao’s teasing and the two enjoy a nice afternoon together.

Warang and Gyoza were in the private room, with Warang trying on Manao’s dress. Gyoza teased Warang about it, prompting her to ask if she would do the same to Manao (does Warang like Gyoza?!). Gyoza said she wouldn’t, as it isn’t as fun to tease Manao about the dress as it is Warang. She smiled smugly.

Through all of these, Manao was anxious because Gyoza had not messaged her in about a week. But as if she’s reading her mind, Gyoza sent Manao a message asking her to meet in the room for the dress fitting. Manao runs off to meet Gyoza and runs into Warang along the way. Warang was less than friendly to her, telling her that she should not feel special just because she was close to Gyoza. This made Manao feel dejected, and her excitement wore down while she was fitting the dress. However, Gyoza was so nice to her that her mood became better just by spending time with the Head Senior. She was feeling down, still, but Gyoza asked her to come with her to the Student Union room, which lifted Manao’s mood.

The two meet P’Pure in the Student union room, with Gyoza immediately going on to help him with orientation planning. While the three are happily talking, however, Warang comes in. She took some workbooks to work on, with Manao immediately helping her carry them. While they were outside the room, Warang told Manao that she actually went to find Gyoza because Manao’s friend, Luktan, went inside the private room. Manao promised she would talk to her friend so that it wouldn’t happen again.

During the start of the “hazing” activity, P’Pure led, explaining the importance of the gear. As he was talking, however, the freshmen did group push-ups, while the seniors also took one for the team and did 100. This led to Gyoza feeling some ache in her legs, leading P’Pure to comfort her, all the while teasing her about her obvious crush on Manao. As P’Pure left, Gyoza took a nap. Manao saw her sleeping beauty crush and attempted to wake her up, but they accidentally kissed!
