Starring Im Seon Woo and Lee Seo Yeong, ‘Floating Deep Down Summer‘ is an award-winning short film directed by Cho Hye Jin. It tells the story of photographer Hyeri, who gets an invitation to a wedding from an old acquaintance and ex-lover. Hyeri is undecided about whether or not she will travel. Juhyun the curator is incredibly confident and at ease with her sexuality. Hyeri, who believes she is not being honest with herself, progressively falls into Juhyun.

The film opens with Hyeri receiving a wedding invitation from her ex-lover. That night, she had a meeting with a client at a cafe when a woman suddenly approached her and asked her if she was the photographer, Hyeri Jung. The woman says she was honored to meet her, and she’s always been a fan of her work. She thanked her and told her she couldn’t talk to her any longer because she was meeting someone soon. She asked her if she wanted an autograph. They are both shocked by what she says and ask her if she’s Juhyun Lee, the client she’s meeting that night, and the latter says yes. They started their meeting and discussed what to do for her exhibit. Juhyun felt that she was being uncomfortable in the cafe, so she asked her to continue the discussion in her place. She told her she was fine and that they should start wrapping up because it was getting late. After their discussion, they bid goodbye, and before leaving, Juhyun offered to drop her off at the station, but she refused.
At home, her friends are teasing her about what happened in her meeting with Juhyun. She told them that she was really embarrassed at that time. Her friends told her that for Juhyun, it could have been a flirt because she says that she has dated some girls before. One of her friends asks if she comes out at work, and she says that she doesn’t hide it and that she’s comfortable with her sexuality. Hyeri says that she’s jealous of her because she knows what she likes. One of her friends says she wants to meet her, and the other says if she goes to her exhibition, she will meet her because she is in charge of the whole exhibit. Her friend also asks her if she already has a plane ticket to Venice to attend his ex-lover’s wedding. She says she’s not going because of work schedules, but her friends told her that it would be awkward for them to go without her, but she assures them that she’s not going.
