Knock, knock! The new Doctor Who is here!

A brand new trailer just dropped for, dare we say, the queerest season yet for the hit BBC series ‘Doctor Who’.

Creator Russell T. Davies has made sure that the upcoming season of ‘Doctor Who’ will feature the biggest queer representation to date for the show. The trailer features this season’s doctor, Ncuti Gatwa, the first openly queer black person to be passed the baton.

However, this is not the first time the series dabbled with some fruitiness as The Doctor and Captain Jack shared a kiss once upon a time.

This season will also see the return of ‘Heartstopper’ trans actress Yasmin Finney, who played a lead role in the 60th anniversary specials last year. Two-time ‘Drag Race’ winner Jinkx Monsoon is also the first ever professional drag queen on the show. Can you say iconic?

The newly-released trailer is nothing short of serving us queer too, with Gatwa showing us he is turning looks and stunting pretty as he travels (or should we say sashays) through time and space as the Fifteenth Doctor, an alien Time Lord, together with his companion, Ruby Sunday (played by Millie Gibson). Jinx who plays the villain also looks deliciously evil and fabulous!

Series 14 of the show will consist of eight episodes, which have been directed by Julie Anne Robinson, Ben Chessell, Dylan Holmes Williams, and Jamie Donoughue.

‘Doctor Who’ premieres on BBC in the UK on May 11 and on Disney Plus on May 10.
