‘O Silêncio da Singularidade’, with a literal English translation of The Silence of Singularity, is an upcoming Brazilian short film that is currently in production in Paraíba, Brazil, and has been awarded by Paulo Gustavo Law grant by Secretaria de Estado da Cultura da Paraíba (SECULTPB). The short features Caio Vinícius, Rafael Câmara, Beti Rodrigues, Flavia Monteiro, Samara Maria, and Jota Isnard, and is directed by Julio Alves.
The Paulo Gustavo Law, named in honor of the late Brazilian actor, who passed away due to COVID-19 in May last year, was approved by the Federal Senate on March 15th, 2022. This law aims to allocate financial resources to combat the economic and social effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on the cultural sector. The law is a significant step in supporting the arts and cultural activities in Brazil, especially given the substantial impact the pandemic had on the industry.
