Charlie’s celebrity crush is none other than Jack Maddox – played by real celebrity heartthrob Jonathan Bailey!

And it’s finally confirmed! After photos of Jonathan Bailey (Bridgerton, Fellow Travelers) were released (unintentional or not), Netflix finally confirmed that the eldest Lord Bridgerton will be joining the ‘Heartstopper’ cast – albeit in a short but meaningful cameo. Netflix welcomed Jonathan Bailey through a short clip of him saying the iconic Heartstopper “Hi”, while starting off with a “meet and greet” sign.

Jack Maddox is Charlie’s (played by Joe Locke) celebrity crush. In the original web novel, Nick (played by Kit Connor) finds himself a little bit jealous of his boyfriend’s celebrity crush, only to find himself in the same boat.

Additionally, ‘Heartstopper’ also introduced two new characters, Hayley Atwell (Agent Carter, Captain America 1) will be playing Nick’s aunt Diane and Eddie Marsan (Sherlock Holmes, Back to Black) as Charlie’s therapist, Geoff. In the upcoming season, Aunt Diane will be taking Nick on a vacation in Menorca to give Nick some advice which will impact his relationship with Charlie.
