June 1 | China PK Queen (China)

Jessica starts his make-up at 3 pm every day to be ready for his online Drag Queen performance at 7:30 pm, where he entertains his fans and receives gifts. Despite facing prejudices and discrimination, he continually seeks opportunities to perform in front of live audiences despite the limited space for drag shows in China.

June 2 | Let’s  Eat Together Aki and Haru (Japan)

University students Aki and Haru live together in a house. They had different personalities and each had their own worries, but they had something in common that made them feel better when they ate. Aki cooks the food, Haru takes care of the cleanup, and the two spend a peaceful day around the delicious dining table.

NOTE: The movie will be showing for two weeks at Cinemart and other local cinemas in Tokyo. No further information has been released regarding its international release.

Working at a nightclub in Chengdu, a transgender Chinese woman receives an unexpected visit from her cousin, informing her that the mother she has brushed aside, has died. For Filipino filmmaker Joshua Santos, winning the Grand Jury Award at a film festival in Los Angeles for a short film he directed, wrote, and produced is the realization of his dreams. He is ready to go back home to his family and friends in the Philippines to celebrate his triumph. But on his last night in LA, he, unfortunately, falls victim to a “professional scammer”. Joshua promises to himself that he will not go home until he finds the swindler who took all his money. As he looks for a cheap room where he could stay for a few weeks, he unexpectedly meets Andrew Lee, a hardworking and uptight Korean immigrant who owns a studio unit. As they start to share a small room together, Andrew willingly shares with Joshua some tricks and tips for making it in Los Angeles. Joshua eventually finds himself attracted to Andrew who continuously helps him survive the challenges and uncertainties of living in the big city. Andrew also secretly falls in love with Joshua, too. But what will happen to their blossoming love when it is time for Joshua to go back home? Or will love be enough reason for Joshua to stay with Andrew in the United States?
