Teaser Poster Revealed for First Filipino BL Dating Reality Show

Heads up, queer Filipinos! A BL dating reality show is coming out — pun intended — really, really soon!

Black Sheep, the same studio behind the hit 2020 BL series ‘Hello Stranger’, revealed the poster for the first-ever Filipino BL dating reality show. It will stream on Black Sheep’s YouTube channel this May.

The said reality show will involve 10 single guys who will “go outdoors to look for their spark.”

The actual title of the show is yet to be revealed, although considering the highlight and keyword on the poster, it might likely be called ‘Spark’. However, it should also be noted that in 2022, Black Sheep, through its mother company ABS-CBN, announced ‘Hello Searcher’, also dubbed as the country’s first-ever BL dating show. Unlike the 10 contestants in Black Sheep’s announcement, ‘Hello Searcher’ was supposed to have only six contestants.

A teaser-announcement video was revealed on June 27, 2022, with Miss Trans Global 2020 Mela Habijan as the host. On the same day, auditions were opened with actor Alex Diaz revealed as the “searcher.” Diaz starred in a 2020 BL digital series titled ‘Oh, Mando!’ alongside Kokoy de Santos (known for his role in ‘Gameboys’). Diaz came out as bisexual in 2019.

Since then, there has been no update on its development.

Whether Black Sheep’s newly announced dating show is ‘Hello Searcher’ or a revamped and redeveloped version of it, we will see in the coming days. Nevertheless, we’re all excited!
