‘RuPaul’s Drag Race UK VS The World’ Season 2 Crowns Tia Kofi Winner

Tea or coffee? It doesn’t matter because Tia Kofi just won ‘Drag Race’!

‘RuPaul Drag Race UK vs The World’ just crowned the 33-year-old drag queen its winner.

Head judge RuPaul proclaimed Tia winner after a double lip sync for the crown stages, besting her co-finalists, a crowd favorite from the Philippines, Marina Summers, Aussie comedy queen, Hannah Conda, and French fashion queen, La Grande Dame.

Arantxa Castilla-La Mancha (‘Drag Race España’ season 1) who was proclaimed Miss Congeniality spun the wheel and had Marina pick out her competitor for the lip sync battle. Marina chose Hannah and lost while Tia won against La Grande.

Hannah and Tia lip-synced to dance floor filler “Your Disco Needs You” by Kylie Minogue wherein Tia was finally proclaimed the winner.

Tia walked away with the title of ‘The Mothertucking Queen of the World,’ with a crown and scepter plus a cash prize of £50,000.

On winning the series Tia said: “It means the world to me to win, it’s perfect culmination of years of dedicating myself to drag and working hard at myself inside and outside. Being the first winner of colour in the UK is game-changing. To give people who look like me that representation, it’s really special, and something that I take extremely seriously. I want to be that beacon that shows we can all, no matter where we come or what we look like, achieve our dreams.”

Tia bested 10 other queens including Choriza May (‘RuPaul’s Drag Race UK’ season 3), Gothy Kendoll (‘RuPaul’s Drag Race UK’ season 1), Jonbers Blonde (‘RuPaul’s Drag Race UK’ season 4), Keta Minaj (‘Drag Race Holland’ season 2), Mayhem Miller (‘RuPaul’s Drag Race US’ season 10, All Stars 5), and Scarlet Envy (‘RuPaul’s Drag Race US’ season 11, All Stars 6).
