‘Red White & Royal Blue’ Nicholas Galitzine Calls Co-Star Taylor Zakhar Perez as “Adonis”; Comes Out as Straight

‘Red, White, & Royal Blue’ Nicholas Galitzine sings praises, once again, for his co-star Taylor Zakhar Perez.

During his most recent GQ interview, Galitzine, who plays the closeted British prince in the 2023 summer rom-com ‘Red, White, & Royal Blue’, says that he didn’t use to feel confident about his looks. But he couldn’t say the same thing about his co-star, Taylor Zakhar Perez. In the interview, he says, “Look, I can speak about this ’cause Taylor’s a close friend of mine… but Taylor is like an Adonis. It was difficult in some aspects being so closely compared to him.”

When asked if he has experienced dealing with people who conflated him with his characters, Galitzine says he probably has, saying “I identify as a straight man, but I have been a part of some incredible queer stories. I felt a sense of uncertainty sometimes about whether I’m taking up someone’s space, and perhaps guilt. At the same time, I see those characters as not solely their sexuality.” Galatzine has played several queer characters including, bisexual George Villiers in ‘Mary & George’; gay Prince Henry Fox in ‘Red White & Royal Blue’; and the closeted gay rugby player Conor Masters – all of which portray identity discovery in the stories’ own uniqueness.

Meanwhile, Nicholas Galitzine is currently promoting his rom-com with the queen Anne Hathaway ‘The Idea of You’ after finishing the promotions for the sexy period piece ‘Mary & George’. He is also set to attend a special screening for ‘Red White & Royal Blue’ within the week which is happening in Los Angeles.
