The gays just keep winning!
The International Press Academy has announced the winners of the 28th Satellite Awards.
While no single motion picture nor series made a large sweep, it seems like queer-loved shows and movies just keep snatching trophies left and right!
Queer biopic ‘Maestro’ starred and directed by the amazing Bradley Cooper based on legendary bisexual musician Leonard Bernstein amassed three technical awards: Best Original Screenplay by Cooper and Josh Singer, Best Cinematography by Matthew Libatique, and Best Sound (Editing and Mixing).
The film is described as “a towering and fearless love story chronicling the lifelong relationship between cultural icon Leonard Bernstein and Felicia Montealegre Cohn Bernstein. A love letter to life and art, ‘Maestro’, at its core, is an emotionally epic portrayal of family and love.”
Queer favorite ‘Barbie’, on the other hand, took home two awards, namely, Best Production Design by Sarah Greenwood and Katie Spencer, and Best Original Song for “What Was I Made For?” by Billie Eilish and Finneas.
